Therapeutic mechanisms of social anxiety disorders suggested by cognitive models are not reasonable in terms of therapeutic mechanism studies of depression or physiological studies of emotional processing. In this study, a new social anxiety disorders model was constructed. To validate this model, two studies were administered. In first study, the validity of the model was tested. At first, the cognitive model(Beck''s cognitive model) was revaluated. The result of the revaluation suggested that autonomic bodily responses needed to be included in the model. As a result, automatic bodily responses were included in this study''s model and the model is validated to be reasonable. In second study, therapeutic mechanisms suggested by this study''s model was tested. At first, the cognitive model(Clark and Wells'' model) was revaluated. In this test, it was discovered that the experience and acceptance of automatic bodily responses were very important. At second, the therapeutic mechanism of this study''s model was tested. In the result of the test, the intervention suggested by this study''s model was very effective. This study confirmed that automatic processes exist before cognitive processes and suggested that the strategies to intervene this stage would be very effective. The results of this study were discussed.
