태권도전문신문 독자들의 선호도 및 만족도에 관한 연구 = (A) Study on the Preference and Satisfaction of Readers as to Taekwondo Newspaper

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 태권도전문신문의 보도내용 개선과 질적 향상을 위한 전반적인 기초 자료를 제공하여 그 활용도를 높이는데 두고 있으며, 나아가 태권도전문신문의 발전을 위한 기반 구축을 하는데도 목적이 있다.
태권도전문신문의 구독형태, 그리고 태권도전문신문에 대한 독자들의 선호도 및 만족도를 규명하기 위해, 태권도전문신문의 주 독자층을 이루고 있는 태권도 관련 단체, 태권도장 관장 및 사범, 태권도 관련 학과 교수·학생, 태권도 팀 감독·코치를 대상으로 실시하였다.
설문지의 응답이 완성된 자료는 회수하여 지도교수와 같은 대학원 석사과정생 등 5명의 논의하여 응답내용이 부실하거나 신뢰도가 없다고 판단되는 자료는 분석 대상에서 제외한 후 분석이 가능하고 유용한 자료를 컴퓨터에 입력시킨 다음 SPSS 13.0 Window 프로그램을 이용해 빈도분석과 일원변량분석, 신뢰도분석을 실시하였다.
이와 같은 연구 과정을 통해 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다.
첫째, 태권도전문신문 구독형태에 따른 빈도분석은 정기구독이 가장 많았다. 태권도전문신문의 구독장소는 태권도장과 학교에서 읽는다는 답변이 가장 많았으며, 태권도전문신문을 열독하는 습관은 분석결과 전체지면을 자세히 읽는다라는 답변이 가장 많아 독자들에게 태권도전문신문은 종합적이고 심층적인 내용을 제공하고 있다는 분석이 가능하다. 태권도 전문신문의 구독 이유는 정보를 얻기 위해서라고 응답한 사람이 다수를 차지해 전문신문의 기능 중 오락적 기능보다는 정보적 기능에 치우쳐 있음을 알 수 있다. 또 태권도 전문신문의 구독 동기에 대해서는 스스로라고 응답한 사람이 회사, 신문사, 지인의 권유보다 높게 나타나 신문사들의 적극적인 홍보방안이 필요한 것으로 보인다.
또 태권도전문신문의 보존여부에 대해서는 구독하고 버린다라고 응답한 사람과 보존한다라고 응답한 사람이 각각 절반으로 나타났다.
둘째, 인구통계학적 변인에 따른 태권도전문신문의 선호도 중 성별에 따른 태권도전문신문의 일원변랑분석 결과에서는 지면구성, 기사문체, 기사내용 선호도 모두 남자가 여자보다 높았고, 연령에 따른 태권도 전문신문의 선호도 역시 유의한 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 또 직업에 따른 태권도 전문신문의 선호도는 지면구성과 기사내용에 대해 교수가 높았고, 기사문체는 태권도 관련 단체 직원이 높게 나타났으며, 모두 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다.
셋째, 인구통계학적 변인에 따른 태권도전문신문의 만족도 중 성별에 따른 태권도전문신문 만족도는 보도속성 만족도는 남자가 여자보다 높았고, 지면설계 만족도는 여자가 남자보다 높았다. 결과를 분석하면 남자는 새롭거나 심층적인 기사에 대해 만족하고, 여자는 사진과 같은 신문편집에 대해 관심을 기울이는 것을 알 수 있다. 연령에 따른 전문지 만족도는 연령이 높을수록 보도속성의 만족도가 높으며, 지면설계 만족도는 41세~50세, 51세 이상, 20~30세 순으로 나타났다. 또 직업에 따른 태권도 전문신문의 만족도는 보도속성에 대해 태권도 관련 단체 직원, 태권도팀 감독 및 코치, 교수 순으로 높았고, 지면설계 만족도는 태권도 관련 단체 직원, 태권도 관련 학과생, 태권도팀 감독 및 코치 순으로 나타났다.
위 결과로 미루어 보면 태권도 전문신문은 독자들에게 심층적인 정보를 제공하고 있으며, 특히 독자들에게 태권도 행정 및 분석기사를 속성으로 제공함으로써 만족도를 높이고 있다. 태권도 전문신문이 태권도계에 일련의 역할을 수행하고 있음을 간접적으로 알 수 있는 것이다.
태권도전문신문은 대부분의 독자들이 태권도 관련 업무에 종사하는 사람들이다. 따라서 태권도전문신문이 태권도 행정과 같은 기사에 중점을 두고 정보제공을 하는 것은 당연하겠지만 신문의 4대 기능인 정보적 기능, 지도적 기능, 오락적 기능, 광고적 기능 중 오락적 기능에는 미흡하다.
따라서 태권도의 정치, 행정 기사와 함께 오락적 기능을 보완할 수 있는 기사발굴이 필요한 것으로 생각된다. 또 태권도의 근간이 될 수 있는 태권도장 관련 기사와 태권도와 관련된 미담도 비중있게 다뤄 태권도인들뿐 아니라 체육인 나아가 일반대중들도 이해할 수 있는 전문신문으로 나아가기 위해 노력해야 할 것으로 분석됐다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to provide basic information for the improvement of quality of Taekwondo newspapers and to aid the development of Taekwondo newspaper for greater usefulness.
To clarify the subscription type, preference, and satisfaction of Taekwondo newspaper subscribers, this study, this study surveyed Taekwondo-related organizations, Taekwondo instructors, professors, and students, and professional coaches for Taekwondo teams.
Completed survey forms were retrieved and examined by five instructors and graduate students. Invaluable or unreliable responses were excluded from the analysis and useful information was entered into a computer to perform frequency analysis, one-way ANOVA, and reliability analysis on the SPSS 13.0 Window program.
This study resulted in the following findings.
First, the frequency analysis on the subscription type of Taekwondo newspapers revealed that a majority of subscription was regular subscription. Taekwondo newspapers were most frequently read at Taekwondo centers and schools and many subscribers responded that they carefully read every page. Thus, it was found that Taekwondo newspapers shall provide integrative and in-depth contents. The greatest number of responders said that they read Taekwondo newspapers to obtain information, revealing that Taekwondo newspapers shall provide more informational contents than entertaining contents. Also, many responders said that they subscribed Taekwondo newspapers by themselves and not through their employers, newspaper companies, or acquaintances. Thus, it is necessary for Taekwondo newspapers to widely introduce their existence to many people.
Also, the half of the subscribers responded that they throw away the newspapers right away, whereas the other half said they preserve the issues.
Second, as for the preference of Taekwondo newspapers based on demographical variables, the one-way ANOVA on sex resulted in the finding that male responders preferred the composition, writing style, and contents of Taekwondo newspapers more than female responders. However, preference based on age did not have a significant difference. Preference based on occupation revealed that professors significantly preferred Taekwondo newspapers' composition and contents, whereas staff members at Taekwondo-related organizations significantly preferred writing style.
Third, satisfaction with Taekwondo newspapers based on demographical variables revealed that male responders were more satisfied by articles whereas female responders were more satisfied by page layout. The analysis reported that male responders were satisfied by new and in-depth articles, whereas female responders were interested in photographs and layout design. Satisfaction based on age revealed that older people were more satisfied by articles. Satisfaction with layout design was highest for people between 41 and 50, followed by people who were 51 and higher and people between 20 and 30. Satisfaction based on occupation revealed that satisfaction with articles was highest for personnel at Taekwondo-related organizations, followed by coaches for professional teams, and professors and satisfaction with layout design was highest for personnel at Taekwondo-related organizations, followed by Taekwondo students and coaches for professional teams.
Based on the above results, it was found that Taekwondo newspapers provide subscribers with in-depth information and satisfy them by providing articles on Taekwondo administration and analysis. Thus, we can conclude that Taekwondo newspapers play a considerable role in Taekwondo industry.
Most Taekwondo newspaper subscribers work for Taekwondo industry. Therefore, it is obvious that Taekwondo newspapers focus on Taekwondo-related articles. These newspapers generally lack performance in entertainment although four purposes of newspapers include information, instruction, entertainment, and advertisement.
Thus, it is necessary to discover articles on Taekwondo-related politics and administration as well as entertainment. Articles on certain Taekwondo facilities and related stories shall be provided so that these newspapers can be widely enjoyed by Taekwondo personnel, general athletes, and the general public.
