This thesis is intended to understand the differences in participation factors in accordance with the demographic characteristics of Taekwondo trainees. The analysis found that there are significant differences according to all demographic characteristics such as training period, weekly training hours, average time for one training session, starting age, training time, sex, age, education, occupation, marriage, average income per household, etc. Pleasure in particular, was ranked as biggest participation factor. Pleasure was recognized as indispensible factor to induce continued participation, as it, though showing significant differences, marked high scores in all cases.2. This thesis is intended to understand the differences in hurdle factors in accordance with the demographic characteristics of the non-participatory group. The analysis found that there are significant differences according to all demographic characteristics such as sex, age, education, occupation, marriage, average income per household, etc. Lack of interest, in particular, was marked as the biggest hurdle factor, exemplifying the importance of interest in inducing participation of the adults.3. This thesis is intended to understand the differences in perception on adult trainees in accordance with the demographic characteristics of the Taekwondo grand masters. The analysis found that there are significant differences according to education, marriage, existence of adult trainee, number of adults, number of total trainees, training period, and monthly income for the gym, while factors such as age, existence of adult class, the period of gym management did not show significant differences. In particular, the need for management of adult class ranked low in comparison to other factors, which indicates the need of change in perception among the Taekwondo grand masters.
