The present study was conducted to examine the effects of a social skills training program on victimized middle school students' social skills, interpersonal anxiety and friendship. LeCroy's social skills training program(translated by Lee Myeong-Sun, 2005) was utilized. The subjects of the study were 20 middle school students of D Middle School, whose scores were in the upper range as measured by the bullying scale. They were randomly assigned to either an experimental group(n=10) or a control group(n=10). The social skills training program was conducted 10 times, 2 times each week, from 2th June 2005 to 4th July 2005. To veryfy the effects of the program, pretest and posttest were carried out, and a follow-up test was conducted 2 months after the program. The questionaire was composed of 3 scales measuring social skill, interpersonal anxiety and friendship. To evaluate the effects of the program, SPSS 10.0 was used for data analysis. Social skills training program conducted for victimized middle school students had significant effects on increasing social skills and friendship, and decreasing interpersonal anxiety. The effects of the program were maintained 2 months after the termination.
