노랫말 개사 활동이 유아의 어휘력과 창의성 향상에 미치는 영향

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to find out the impact of lyric change activity on children's vocabulary and creativity.
The research questions were:
1) Is there difference on the amount of vocabulary between the group of children who sing songs with lyrics they changed and the group of children who sing songs with the original lyrics?
2) Is there a difference between creativity of the group of children who sing songs with lyrics they changed and the group of children who sing songs with the original lyrics?
The research was conducted with 40 children (20 4-year-olds and 20 5-year-olds) at J Kindergarten in Daegu, Korea from January 3 to March 11, 2005.
「Vocabulary Development Test - a subcategory of YSRT」 by Lee, Yeon-seob (1981) and 「Comprehensive Test on Children's Creative Thinking」by Jeon, Kyung-won (2000) were used to measure the amount of vocabulary and creativity of these children. The analysis of covariance(ANCOVA) was conducted on the collected data to find out if the experiment group and comparison group showed differences in the amount of vocabulary and creativity.
The results of the research were as follows:
First, the experimental group showed statistically significant increase in their vocabulary score than the comparison group.
Second, the experimental group showed statistically significant increase in their fluency, imagination and creativity scores than the comparison group.
Based on the research, the study concludes as follows:
First, the activity of lyric change affects children's scope of vocabulary development.
Second, the activity of lyric translation affects children's overall fluency, imagination and creativity positively.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 동요의 노랫말을 개사하는 활동이 유아의 어휘력과 창의성에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 것이다.
연구 목적을 달성하기 위하여 다음과 같은 연구문제를 설정하였다.
1) 노랫말을 개사하여 부른 실험집단과 노랫말을 개사하지 않고 부른 비교집단의 유아들 간에 어휘력 향상에 차이가 있을 것인가?
2)노랫말을 개사하여 부른 실험집단과 노랫말을 개사하지 않고 부른 비교집단의 유아들 간에 창의성 향상에 차이가 있을 것인가?
연구의 대상은 대구광역시에 위치한 J어린이집 만 4세와 만 5세 유아 40명(만 4세 20명, 만 5세 20명)이었으며, 연구의 기간은 2005년 1월 3일부터 3월 11일까지였다. 유아의 어휘력과 창의성을 측정하기 위해 이연섭(1981)의 「유아용 학습 준비도 검사의 하부 영역인 어휘력 부분의 검사」와 전경원(2000)의 「유아용 종합 창의성 검사」를 사용하였으며, 수집된 자료는 실험집단과 비교집단의 어휘력과 창의성을 향상시키는지를 알아보기 위해 공분산 분석을 실시하였다.
본 연구에서 얻어진 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 실험집단은 비교집단에 비해 어휘력 점수가 유의미하게 증진된 것으로 나타났다.
둘째, 실험집단은 비교집단에 비해 유창성, 상상력, 그리고 창의성 전체 점수가 유의미하게 증진된 것으로 나타났다.
연구의 결과를 통해 본 연구에서 얻어진 결론은 다음과 같다.
첫째, 노랫말 개사 활동은 유아의 어휘력 향상에 영향을 미쳤다.
둘째, 노랫말 개사 활동은 유아의 유창성, 상상력 그리고 창의성 전체 향상에 영향을 미쳤다.
