      This study aimed at examining whether career group counseling program have an effect on the career maturity of school-dropout juvenile delinquents in that when they are looking for their career, they can be well aware of their identity and environment, choose their career reasonably and adapt themselves well to it, and their career maturity can higher as a result.
      The questions for this study are as follows.
      1. Would the experimental group who participated in the career group counseling program show higher maturity compared with the control group who didn't?
      1-1. Would the career group counseling program have an effect on improving the subordinate factors such as the determination degree?
      1-2. Would the career group counseling program have an effect on improving the subordinate factors such as the relevance degree?
      1-3. Would the career group counseling program have an effect on improving the subordinate factors such as the independence degree?
      1-4. Would the career group counseling program have an effect on improving the subordinate factors such as the selection attitude degree?
      1-5. Would the career group counseling program have an effect on improving the subordinate factors such as the reconciliation degree?
      To test the questions of a career group counseling program of school-dropout juvenile delinquents, the subjects of this study were 22(16 boys and 6 girls) who were selected for among school-dropout juvenile delinquents on probation in N Probation Office. They were divided into two groups randomly, the one was an experimental group and the another was a control group. The experimental group took the career group counseling program for 2 days 8 sessions of 60 minutes per session, while the control group did not.
      In order to measure the effects of the program, Career Maturity Inventory(CMI) were taken groups before and after the program.
      The results were treated by SPSS(Statistical Package for the Social Science) program. Analysis of data were applicable to mean, standard deviation and in order to find out the statistical significant differences between the score of the pretest and posttest, the data were analyzed by the t-test honestly significant difference.
      The results of the study were as follows.
      First, the result of pretest and posttest in career maturity degree showed significant differences within the level of t-value -3.551, p < .01, therefore the career group counseling program have an effect on improving the total score of career maturity degree.
      Second, the result of pretest and post test in subordinate factories such as determination degree, reconciliation degree showed significant differences within the level of t-value -2.204, -2.125, p < .01. Therefore, the career group counseling program have an effect on improving subordinate factors of career maturity degree.
      Conclusively, the career group counseling program have a positive effect on improving the career maturity degree of school-dropout juvenile delinquents.
