The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects on family resilience of single-parent family at the family adaptation.
In order to achieve this research goal, the subjects of the study are 296 family members with Single-Parent(located in Ulsan). The survey tools were family resilience(family schema, family hardness index, family crisis oriented personal evaluation scale, family problem solving communication, social support index), family distress index. Collected data were analyzed by reliability analysis, descriptive statistics, t-test, One-way ANOVA, Person's correlation, and multiple regression analysis by SPSS for window ver 10.0 program.
The results of the research are as follows:
First, the following variables have a statisticant significantly differed. family resilience and family adaptation are statistical differences across all subfactors : sex, religion, the existence of employment.
Second, family resilience which is significant statistically is correlated with family adaptation.
Third, the result of stepwise multiple regression analysis enables us to predict the factors which have a great impact on the level of family adaptation : the family hardness, family crisis oriented personal evaluation scale, family problem solving communication.
