신문을 활용한 어휘지도 방안 연구

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The aim of Korean language education is to extend an ability of verbal skills with first priority. Again, It was proposed to extension of higher mental faculties. The higher mental faculties means a capacity of creative verbal over the basic skill as reading and writing that express a thought, and understand a thought through verbal skills. So, the higher mental faculties are extending by using a verbal and the verbal skills rising on the basis of vocabulary power.
The vocabulary power is a core point to consist a faculty of human intellect, it was strengthened to relate with vocabulary guidance even in 7th curriculum, but the guidance in the field is not established a systematic method yet, and the time of training for vocabulary is not enough as well.
This studies was tried to find a wide various way of vocabulary teaching method use with newspaper under the recognition that a quantity and quality of vocabulary teaching important, which is on several educational theories of vocabulary teaching.
For the first, It was executed a preparatory investment to confirm an actual condition of vocabulary teaching in school, interest rate for Korean subject and how to study a vocabulary to the first-year students in middle school. After that, it was shown a lower understanding about the method which the students study vocabulary their own will and there weren't enough time to give the vocabulary teaching at the school.
It also has examined a vocabulary teaching method and its substance can handle in NIE that was shown out the NIE model for vocabulary class and a teaching plan.
The class Models use with newspaper for vocabulary teaching was thrown out examples the graded instructing activities and graded goals as followings:
1) Being friendly with newspaper
2) Reading the headline
3) Reading the main words
4) Developing the skills
5) Practical use
Concretely, as a material for vocabulary study, the teaching plan for vocabulary study with newspaper was presented as like:
1) Teaching through the meaning from the context grasp
2) Drawing a meaning map
3) Teaching through the definition of words
4) Placing under a category
5) Mending words and changing
6) Writing with a subject word
And more, it was developed a material of NIE instruction through a learning unit of Korean textbook of first-year in middle school, and was presented a new instruction to connect between Korean in use textbook and a vocabulary study. The notion of word power is a synthetic Knowledge about a form, significance, practical use and understating and expressing of verbal use.
In conclusion, it is hoped that the vocabulary study of Korean will be raised in schooling and living as good as possible. However, it was tried to extend a word power with practical use with newspaper. Moreover it also has a weak point that the teaching words with newspaper, It should lead a right plan with verify word in Korean linguistics and find suitable contents on the efficiency of study. When we get a focus of attention to newspaper's merit, It could be a positive response to extend a thought and word power.
