청소년의 자살생각에 영향을 미치는 요인의 구조적 분석 = (A) Covariance structure modeling of causal factor for suicidal ideation in adolescents

This study examined the causal process of suicidal ideation by way of depression, cognitive deconstruction, and perceived support from friend as a protective factor. Perceived support from friend was measured on the six subcategory: enjoy of companionship, helping, intimacy, trust, recognition, and emotional stability. The date were gathered from 329 adolescents attending senior high schools in Ulsan and Pusan. The results were as follows: First, on the correlational analysis, depression and cognitive deconstruction positively correlated with suicidal ideation. And depression positively correlated with cognitive deconstruction. Perceived support from friends negatively correlated with depression, cognitive deconstruction, and suicidal idation. In additional analysis of friend's function, intimacy was related with depression, helping was related with cognitive destruction, and trust was most strongly related with suicidal ldeation. Secondly, a covariance structure modeling with Amos 5.0 revealed that depression directly and indirectly influenced suicidal ideation. Depression indirectly effected suicidal ideation though the medium of cognitive deconstruction. The direct effect of depression on suicidal ideation was more stronger than indirect effect. Finally, perceived support of friends directly effected depression, and indirectly effected suicidal ideation though depression, and cognitive deconstrution. This effect was validated in high risk suicidal ideation group. The implications and limitation of this study were discussed.
