學生이 知覺한 敎師의 態度가 學生의 學習動機 및 學校適應에 미치는 影響 = A Study on the Effects of Teachers' Attitudes on Middle School Students' Learning Motivation and School Life Adjustment

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 중학생들이 교사들의 태도를 어떻게 지각하고 있으며, 학생이 지각하는 교사의 태도가 학생들의 학습동기와 학교적응에 어떤 영향을 미치는지를 살펴봄으로써 교사의 자질 향상과 학교 교육활동의 효율성 제고에 필요한 기초 자료를 제공하는 데에 그 목적이 있다.
이 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위한 연구 문제는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 학생이 지각하는 교사의 태도는 학생의 학습동기에 어떤 영향을 미치는가?
둘째, 학생이 지각하는 교사의 태도는 학생의 학교적응에 어떤 영향을 미치는가?
이상과 같은 문제점들을 밝혀내기 위해서 전남 도서지역 중학교에 재학 중인 1, 2, 3학년 남·여 학생 121명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시한 후 SPSS 프로그램에 의해 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다.
먼저 교사태도에 대한 학생의 지각이 학습동기에 미치는 영향을 살펴본 결과,
첫째, 교사태도에 대한 상위집단과 하위집단 지각은 학습동기에 있어 유의한 차이를 보였다. 따라서 교사태도에 대한 지각 수준이 높을수록 학생들의 학습동기에 영향을 미침을 알 수 있다.
둘째, 학년에 따라 학습동기는 유의한 차이를 보였다. 차이를 보면 저학년이 고학년보다 학습동기가 높음을 알 수 있다.
셋째, 성별에 따라 학습동기는 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다.
넷째, 학생이 지각한 교사태도와 학생의 학습동기와는 유의미한 상관이 있었다. 따라서 교사태도를 긍정적으로 지각할수록 학생들의 학습동기도 높은 것으로 밝혀졌다.
다음으로 교사태도에 대한 학생의 지각이 학교적응에 미치는 영향을 살펴본 결과,
첫째, 교사태도에 대한 상위집단과 하위집단 지각은 학교적응에 있어 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 따라서 학생들이 교사태도에 대한 지각 수준이 높을수록 학교적응에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
둘째, 학년에 따라 학교적응은 유의한 차이를 보였다. 1학년 학생이 2, 3학년 학생보다 학교적응이 높음을 알 수 있다.
셋째, 성별에 따라 학교적응은 유의한 차이가 없었다.
넷째, 학생이 지각한 교사태도와 학생의 학교적응과는 유의미한 상관이 있었다. 따라서 교사태도를 긍정적으로 지각할수록 학생들의 학교적응도 높은 것으로 밝혀졌다.
이상과 같이 학생이 지각한 교사태도는 학생의 학습동기와 학교적응에 영향을 미치는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 따라서 교사태도를 긍정적으로 지각할수록 학습동기가 높으며, 학교적응을 잘 한다는 사실을 알 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The major goal of this study is to provide some meaningful information for improving teacher's qualification and increasing the efficiency of educational activities by investigating the effects of teacher's attitudes perceived by students on student's learning motivation and school life adjustment. The research hypotheses tested in this study are as follows : (Ⅰ) What influences do teacher's attitudes have on students' learning motivation? (Ⅱ) What influences do teacher's attitudes have on student's school life adjustment?
A questionaire was used to measure teacher's attitudes perceived by students. The subjects were 121 middle school students in the rural area and SPSS statistical package was used to analyze the data.
The major findings were as follows : (Ⅰ) In the relationship between students' perception about teacher's attitudes and student's learning motivation;
(Ⅰa) The higher level of students' perception about teacher's attitudes, the more influences on student's learning motivation students received, (Ⅰb) There were an meaningful differences between student groups perceiving teacher's attitudes and learning motivation in the school years, (Ⅰc) There were not differences between student groups perceiving teacher's attitudes and learning motivation in sex. (Ⅰd) Students's perception about teachers' attitude is related to the students' learning motivation.
As a result, there is a significant relationship between students' perception about teacher's attitude and leaning motivation. When the students recognized the teachers' attitude positively, it tend to assume an upward the students learning motivation.
(Ⅱ) In the relationship between the students' perception about teachers' attitudes and student's school life adjustment; (Ⅱa) The higher level of perception about teacher's attitudes students had, the more positive effects on school life adjustment students showed, The student's perception level about teacher's attitudes played an important part in student's school life adjustment, (Ⅱb) There were significant differences between student groups perceiving teacher's attitudes and school life adjustment in the school years. The first year students shows more higher concerns in school life adjustment. (Ⅱc) There were no differences between student groups in sex. (Ⅱd) Student's perception about teachers' attitude is related to the student's school life adjustment.
The implication of the study was that the positive perception of teacher's attitudes could lead to the energetic learning motivation and the better school life adjustment
