어휘력 신장을 위한 어휘 교육의 방법 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 논문은 중등학교 학생들의 어휘력을 향상시키기 위하여 학생들의 어휘력 실태를 분석하고 문제점을 찾아, 그 대책으로서 어휘 지도에 이용할 수 있는 방법을 제시하는 데 목적이 있다.
현재 국어 교육에서 어휘 교육에 대한 중요성에 대한 인식을 함께 하고 있으나, 어떤 방법으로 어떤 어휘를 교육하여야 하는 지에 대한 체계적인 연구는 활성화되어 있지 않다. 어휘 교육은 국어과의 국어 지식 영역의 하위 영역으로서 그 학습 내용이 교과서에 제시되어 있다. 그러나 과밀 학습의 문제점, 교사의 자질 부족, 교과서의 내용의 빈약 등으로 인해 제대로 교육되지 못하고 있다.
국어 교육은 국어의 사용 능력을 신장시키는 것을 목적으로 한다. 언어 사용 능력은 어휘에 대한 정확한 이해, 어휘의 양에 큰 영향을 받는다. 어휘의 부적절한 사용은 국어의 오용 가운데 가정 대표적인 것인데, 이는 어휘 교육이 제대로 이루어지지 않았음을 보여준다.
이에 2장에서는 첫째, 어휘와 어휘력의 개념을 정립하고 어휘 교육의 원리를 검토해 보았으며 둘째로 국어교육에서 어휘교육의 중요성을 살펴보았고 셋째로 6차 교육과정과 7차 교육과정에 명시된 어휘 교육 내용을 비판적으로 검토하였다.
4장에서는 현재 중등학교의 어휘 교육의 실태를 조사, 분석하여 학습자의 어휘력이 낮은 문제점을 교과서에서 찾아보았다.
5장에서는 4장에서 도출된 원인을 바탕으로 인지적 관점에서 연상과 문맥 유추를 통한 어휘 지도 방법을 제시하였다.
마무리에서는 어휘 교육의 원리와 방법, 평가에 대해 요약 제시하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper is to suggest the methods for vocabulary education by analyzing a current discussion class and drawing problems from it in order to bring up middle schoolers sense of using korean language.
While I perceive vocabulary education with consequence in The education of Korean language,
The systematic research dont activate about what and how to teach vocabulary education.
The curriculum of vocabulary education, as a low level of knowledge in the Korean language department, is presented at the text book. As the importance of vocabulary education grows, various efforts have been made such as hosting the vocabulary education competition, and designating the model school, which is not enough.
The education of Korean languaga has goals of bring up sense of using Korean language.
Sense of using Korean language is affected by correct comprehension of vocabulary and amount of vocabulary.
The insuitable using of vocabulary is the remarkble thing of Korean language.
It tells that The vocabulary education is not performed formally.
In chapter 2, both general vocabulary education principles and principles which ought to be dealt with at the text book have been examined.
In addition, vocabulary education is important in the education of Korean language.
The goals of discussion class stated at the current sixth curriculum and seventh one, which is expected to go into effect as of 2001, has been respectively gone over. Also, through the examination of the current speaking chapter designated by the Education Ministry, the way of the current debate education progressing has been diagnosed.
In chapter 3, it has been inspected how a system for vocabulary education has been organized.
In chapter 5 , on the basis of the cause in chapter 4 , I present how to teach vocabulary education through context analogy and association of ideas from the recognition.
In the final chapter, the principle, method, and valuation of vocabulary education have been summarized.
