그림책의 미적 요소를 활용한 감상·표현활동이 유아의 그림표현 및 감상 능력에 미치는 영향 = Appreciation Using an Aesthetic Factor of a Picture Book Influence of Expressional Activities to Infant's Ability of Drawing Skill and Appreciation

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 그림책의 미적 요소를 활용한 감상·표현활동이 유아의 그림표현 능력과 미술감상 능력에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하는데 그 목적이 있다.
연구 목적에 따라 설정된 연구 문제는 다음과 같다.
1. 그림책의 미적 요소를 활용한 감상·표현활동이 유아의 그림표현 능력(표상수준, 탐색수준, 예술성)에 영향을 미치는가?
2. 그림책의 미적 요소를 활용한 감상·표현활동이 유아의 미술감상 능력에 영향을 미치는가?
본 연구의 대상은 경기도 안산시에 소재하고 있는 A어린이집의 5세반 2개 학급을 선정하여 A학급의 유아 20명을 실험집단, B학급의 유아 20명을 통제집단으로 구성하였다. Project Spectrum(Krechevsky, 1994)의 시각예술영역(Visual Arts Domain)부분의 평가척도(Chen & Feinburg,1999)를 사용하여 유아의 그림표현 능력을 평가하였으며, Schirrmacher(1993)의 유아 미술 발달 평가, Eisner(1972)의 미술평가 관점, Barnes(1987)의 유아미술평가를 참고로 정미경(1999)이 재구성한 유아의 감상 능력 평가도구를 사용하여 유아의 미술감상 능력을 평가하였다. 그림책의 미적 요소를 활용한 감상·표현활동은 실험집단의 유아를 대상으로 5주동만 총 6회가 실시되었다. 통제집단의 유아에게는 실험집단과 동일한 그림책을 제시하고 특별한 활동은 제공되지 않았으며 두집단에게 동일한 재료를 이용하여 미술활동을 수행하도록 하였다.
그림책의 미적 요소를 활용한 감상·표현활동은 본 연구에 선정된 그림책을 중심으로 Feldman(1970)의 미술 비평 4단계(기술-분석-해석-판단)를 참고로 활동목표가 이루어 질 수 있도록 그림책에 대해 감상활동을 하였다. 표현활동은 감상활동과 통합하여 유아들이 그림책을 감상하고 토의하는 과정에서 느끼고 생각한 미적 요소를 탐색, 실험, 제작, 분석할 수 있도록 돕는 일련의 활동으로 구성하였다. 그림책의 미적 요소를 활용한 감상·표현활동을 검토하기 위하여 각 집단별 그림표현 능력과 미술감상 능력의 변화량을 산출하였으며 두 집단간 변화량은 독립적 t-test를 사용하여 검출하였다.
연구결과, 그림책의 미적 요소를 활용한 감상·표현활동을 실시한 집단은 유아의 그림표현 능력 즉 표상수준, 탐색수준, 예술성 수준의 변화량에 있어 유의한 차이를 보였으며 미술감상 능력에 있어서도 유의한 차이를 나타내었다. 이와 같이 그림책의 미적 요소를 활용한 감상·표현활동은 유아의 그림표현 능력과 미술감상능력의 향상을 도울 수 있음을 알 수 있 었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of aesthetical illustration books to drawing skill and appreciation ability of infant.
For these purposes, research objects to be investigated were as follow.
1. Does expression activities using esthetic factor of picture book impact to infant's capability of picture expression(idea level, searching level, art level)?
2. Does expression activities using esthetic factor of picture book impact to infant's appreciative power for picture?
In order to conduct this research, 40 seven-year-old children in a nursery school located in Ansan city were selected. Among 40 seven-year-old children , 20 seven - year - old children (as group A) were selected as a test group and the other 20 seven-year-old children (as group B) were selected as a control group.
With two different groups, the young children capability of picture expression was measured by using visual arts domain measurement of Project Spectrum(Krechevsky, 1994) and young children appreciative power for picture(Chen & Feinburg, 1999) was evaluated by using a couple of tools such as Schirrmacher's(1993) evaluation of young children painting development, Eisner's(1972) viewpoint of art appreciation and evaluation tool for young children appreciative power recomposed by Ms. Jung, Mikyung(1999). With the test group(Group A), in total six times by using picture book's esthetic factor, expression activities were conducted for six weeks and the same activities was conducted to the control group (group B) by providing the same materials as test group's.
The appreciationㆍexpression activities utilizing esthetic factor of picture book was conducted by using Feldman's(1970) four steps of picture criticism(skil analysis interpretation evaluation) on the basis of selected picture book. The expression activities integrated with appreciation activities was composed a series of activities such as searching, experiment, assembling, and analysis which cane be felt during appreciation of picture book and discussion on the picture books. In order to compare the changes of two different groups, the independent t-test was conducted.
According to the research, there were remarkable changes in the group which conducted the expression activities utilizing esthetic factor of picture book on capability of picture expressions such as idea level, searching level, and art level as well as appreciation capability. It shows that picture expression capability and appreciation capability can be improved by utilizing the appreciation -expression activities using esthetic factor of picture book.
