      This study is to offer basic materials for child care service to be higher quality nurturing to children and their families.
      To achieve this purpose, this paper established five dimensions of quality day care service by reviewing previous studies as follows: environmental dimension, physical dimension, psychological dimension, social dimension and educational dimension, which are the essential factors in child care services.
      Environmental dimension can be of the number of children per class, environmental condition around the center, etc. In physical dimension there can be facilities, structure and stability of building, child health and nourishing management. In educational dimension, there are loving attitude for child, quality of teachers and principal, parents education, parent and teacher conference, relationship between home, elementary school, community and day care center.
      With these standardized factors, this study has surveyed the needs and the degree of satisfaction of parents who are sending their child to day care center by proposed three research questions as follow.
      The first one is to find out whether there are differnet believes in detail factors of five large categories concerned caring services in accordance with parents general characteristics: parents' academic career, age, number of children, occupations, and their incomes.
      The second is to research with what kind of child care services parents are satisfied and are not satisfied the most.
      The third is to find out with what variables of every factors of child care services the degree of satisfaction of parents are correlative according to parents' general characteristics. the results of this study are as follows.
      1. The standards in selecting day care center have showed significant difference in accordance with parent' age, the lower the parent' age is, themore parent wants the physical dimension in child care services, and the higher, the more educational dimension. This fact implies that a new parent generation has appeared and tells that the importance of facilities and environment of child care center shall be demanded more in the future.
      2. In choosing among the educational programs parent at each class considered 'proper social development program' as the most important one, and they demanded that 'proper number of children a class' be 6 to 10 child members. This results are in accordance with previous studies, which have suggested that the child group be a small one to offer high quality child care services.
      3. In finding out most effective variables on the degree of parents' satisfaction, it appeared that 'systematic education for whole man', quantity and quality of teaching materials and toos', 'number of children per class', 'quality of teacher and principal', facilities, 'relationship between center and elementary school', in order. These results showed in accordance with lots of studies which have suggested that to be quality child care services there should be small group child, quality teachers and principal, and systematic and escalating education program.
      4. The investigated values of coefficient correlation between parent' satisfaction and various factors of child care services have showed that 'education for whole man' has the highest coefficient value, the next, 'education methods', 'relationship between center and home', quality of teachers and principal', 'loving attitude for children', 'management of child health', quantity and quality of teaching materials and toos', 'education programs', 'management of nourishment', one after another.
