만5세 아동권리교육 활동안 개발을 위한 기초연구 : 유엔의 아동권리에 관한 국제협약을 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 아동이 자신의 권리에 관해 알뿐만 아니라, 권리행사의 주체자로서 자율적 참여권을 신장시킬 수 있는 ‘만5세 아동권리교육 활동안 개발을 위한 기초연구’를 하는 것이다. 그러므로, 아동권리의 개념과 발전과정, 유엔아동권리협약의 의의 및 구성과 내용, 아동의 권리신장방안 및 아동권리에 관한 선행 연구들에 대한 문헌고찰을 토대로 다음과 같은 연구내용을 제시하였다. 1. 만5세 아동권리교육 활동안의 시안을 개발한다. 2. 만5세 아동권리교육 활동안의 적절성과 중요성을 검토한다. 3. 만5세 아동권리교육 활동안의 시안을 확정한다. 이러한 연구내용의 수행을 위해 먼저 아동권리의 개념을, 유엔아동권리협약을 중심으로 喜多明人(1992)이 범주화한 생존권, 보호권, 발달권, 참여권으로 나누어 정리하고, 아동권리의 발전과정과 우리나라 아동권리의 실태 및 아동권리에 관한 선행 연구의 내용들을 고찰한 결과, 아동권리에 대한 적극적인 홍보와 성인들에 대한 인권교육이 우선적으로 이루어져야 하며 이것을 전제로 아동에 대한 직접적인 권리교육이 이루어져 함을 인식할 수 있다. 그리고, 이소라(1998)는 아동이 자기결정권이나 자율성에 관계된 권리를 중요하게 생각하고 있다고 보고하고 있으며, 홍승애(2004)는 배경변인에 따른 참여권 이행 검사에서 인권에 관심이 있고, 아동권리협약에 대한 관심이 있으며, 권리교육을 배웠고, 권리교육이 필요하다고 생각한 아동이 그렇지 않은 아동보다 연령과 성숙도에 상관없이 공통적으로 참여도가 높게 나타났다는 결과를 보고하고 있다. 그러므로, 아동권리협약의 정신이 제대로 반영되고 권리주체로서 아동의 참여권을 신장시키려면 아동을 인간의 존엄성에 기초한 평등한 동반자로 이해하고(홍승애, 2004), 이것을 바탕으로 아동의 발달수준에 적합한 체계적인 권리교육 활동안이 개발되어야 함(김정래, 1999)을 인식할 수 있다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 아동 중에서도 특히 직관적 사고와 자율성(주도성)이 형성되는 만5세 아동을 위해 유엔의 아동권리협약의 정신에 기초를 둔 아동권리의 4대 범주와 제6차 유아교육과정의 생활주제 및 5개영역 발달과의 통합을 고려하여 아동권리교육의 목표를 선정하고, 이에 따른 세부 내용들로 연간 및 월별활동의 1차 시안을 개발하였다. 그리고, 1차 시안의 내용 타당도에 관한 전문가 30인의 검사 결과를 토대로 삭제 및 수정의 과정을 최종안을 완성하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this Preliminary Study is to develop the educational activity plan on the rights of the child suitable for 5-year-old children so that the children can not only understand what the rights of the child are, but extend their self-regulating right of participation as the subject of rights as well. Therefore this preliminary study proposes the following contents of the preceding studies on the basis of the literature of the preceding studies on the conception and progressing process of the children's rights, the meaning, composition and contents of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and the extension plan of the children's rights; 1. to develop a tentative draft for the educational activity plan on the children's rights for 5-year-old children. 2. to examine the appropriateness and importance of educational activity plan on the children's rights for 5-year-old children. 3. to conclude the tentalive draft for the educational activity plan on the children's rights for 5-year-old children. In order to accomplish the contents of study mentioned above, the conception of the children's rights is devided into the 4 categories which 喜多明人(1992) described on the basis of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child- The rights to survival, the rights to preservation, the rights to development and the rights to participation. In view of the results examined the contents of the preceding studies on the process of progress on the children's rights, the actual condition of the children's rights and the rights of the child in Korea, it is recognized that the positive public relation on the children's right and the education on the human rights shall be requested preferentially to the adults and on the other hand the positive education on the children's rights shall be carried out inevitably to the children. And Lee, So Ra(1992) reported that the children recognize how very important the rights of their self- decision and self- imposed control are to themselves. Hong, Sung Ae(2004) reported in the research of performance by variable factor the children who are interested in the human rights and Convention on the Rights of the Child, having the education on the Rights of the Child and recognizing the nessity for the education on the children's rights participated many more than the others in the activities for the rights of participation regardless age and maturity. Therefore it is recognized that the adults must understand the children as their equal companion on the basis of human dignity so that the spirit of Convention on the Rights of the Child shall be reflected well as it is and the children shall extend their rights of participation as the sebject of children's rights(Hong, Sung Ae 2004). and that a systematic educational activity plan on the children's rights suitable for the level of the children's growth shall be developed as well(Kim, Jeong Rae 1999). Acordingly this study was attempted to develop the educational activity plan on the children's rights suitable for 5-year-old children who are in the period of forming the intuitive thought and self-imposed control and the decided in consideration of the 4 categories on the basis of the spirit of Convention on the Rights of the Child, the living subject of the 6th educational cource for early childhood children and the development and integration of 5 domains and the 1st tentative plan for monthly and annual activities was drawn up in accordance with the detailed contents related to the educational activity plan on the rights of the child. And the final plan was made out through the process of elemination and amendment on the result of examination by 30 specialists for the adequacy the 1st plan.
