    The purpose of this study is to provide a basis for development and operation of science education program and teacher education in kindergarten. For this study, questionnaire which was performed by 250 kindergarten teachers in Pusan. And the basis of this question survey, the interview was performed by 19 kindergarten teachers on answer to a questionnaire. The result was summarized as follows; 1. Even though most kindergarten teachers have a right understanding of the purpose of the young children science education, the real situation in kindergarten tends not to correspond with it. The teachers have not understanding of the basis of ability and attitude for young children inquiries follow the result. So it seemed that practical management of science education was not performed well. 2. Science education curriculum was organized by teacher Themselves. They reconstruct the curriculum to suit their kindergarten situation based on the monthly journal of education and material of education activity. Because the teachers have lack of expert knowledge, concern, environment, mind's time and confidence for the number of persons follow the result. 3. Science education contain somatology, biology, implement and machine studies. Teachers regard chemical change and environment as most difficult area. The teachers had difficulties in teaching ready for experiment, observation, lack of instrument. 4. Kindergartens carry out commercial science program once or twice a week. Science education were carried out integrated by experiment and conversation, tour of inspection, cooking activity. But in the aspect of teaching method, individual teaching was seldomly performed because most teachers made young children try themselves after showing them example. 5. Most kindergarten situation (29.9%) have not a separated science section. And they actually didn't pay much attention to science education because of difficulties in teaching new theory and the lack of expert knowledge. The teaching materials and aids were purchased at shop largely and some of them were made by teacher. Most teachers were not enough tour of inspection because of lack of expert knowledge. And most teachers have a lack understanding for tour of inspection 6. The estimate of most science education on young children and kindergarten management were not performed. Especially the estimate on young children was performed by observation on occasion. 7. Most teachers for science education on young children and kindergarten were desired about science education to application and experience in teaching new knowledge because of lack of expert knowledge.
