모자간 수학적 상호작용에 나타난 만 2세 영아의 수학적 경험과 의미 = 2-Year-Old Toddler`s Mathematical Experiences and Meanings Emerging from Maternal Mathematical Interaction

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 만 2세 영아가 일상생활 속에서 어머니와의 수학적 상호작용을 통해 경험하는 수학적 경험과 그 의미를 탐색하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 만 31개월 남아 1명을 2012년 9월 18일부터 11 월 9일까지 2개월간 총 37회의 참여관찰을 실시하여 일상생활 속에서 어머니와의 수학적 상호작용을 통해 경험하는 수학적 경험과 그 교육적 의미를 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 어 머니와의 수학적 상호작용을 통해 만 2세 영아는 ‘수와 연산’, ‘규칙성’, ‘공간과 도형’, ‘측정’, ‘자료정리 와 결과’의 수학적 내용을 경험하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 만 2세 영아의 어머니와의 수학적 상호작 용에 의한 다양한 수학적 경험을 통해 도출된 교육적 의미로는 ‘모방을 통해 수학 알아가기’, ‘놀이를 통해 수학과 친해지기’, ‘생활 속에서 수학 발견하기’ 등이 나타났다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to explore 2-year-old toddler`s mathematical experiences and meanings emerging from maternal mathematical interaction. The participant in this study was a 31-month-old toddler. The data were collected mainly by participant observations from September 18, 2012 to November 9, 2012. The results are as follows. First, the 31-month-old toddler recieved a variety of mathematical contents through mathematical experiences. The analyses reveals that the mathematical contents consisted mainly of ``Number and Operations``, ``Pattern``, ``Geometry``, ``Measurement``, ``Data Analysis and Probability``. Second, the educational meanings of the 31-month-old toddler`s mathematical experiences emerging from the maternal mathematical interaction were ``learning mathematics through imitation``, ``closing with mathematics through play``, and ``discovering mathematics in their daily lives.
