초현실주의 패션디자인 개발과 디지털 미디어 융합 전시 연구 = A Study on the Development of Surrealism Fashion Design and the Merging of Exhibition and Digital Media

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to design surrealist fashion that is representative of the field of progressive design in the 20th century, and comprehensively depict surrealist fashion through the merging of digital media and exhibitions. Through the development of digital medium techniques, designers continue to use surrealism in fashion to express the infinite space of thought and imagination, entering a paradigm distinctively separate from that of traditional fashion. With a focus on the development of digital mediums, this study explores how the surrealist fusing of the conscious and subconscious are depicted through the application of the developing technologies of textile printing and mixed reality space to surrealist fashion. In surrealist fashion, the color of the light of the subconscious is expressed in patterns through the application of digital textile prints to a variety of materials including mesh, sequined fabrics, and cotton. The presence of black and brightly colored patterns in design reflects the intent to tear down the boundaries between reality and the unconscious realm. In addition, an emphasis on asymmetry and form allows the wearer to transform the style in a variety of ways depending on how the garment is worn, allowing for the expansion and popularization of the style. This type of fusion of surrealist fashion design and digital media has utilized a method of display that incorporates media into the surroundings of the exhibition space, establishing spatial concepts beyond what is presented through a simple video. The clothing displayed together with digital media obscures the boundaries of space while directing the imagination, deliberately mixing the concept of exhibition space with design.
