자문화기술지를 통한 초등학교 운동부 지도경험 분석 = An Analysis on the Teaching Experiences of Athlete Clubs in Elementary Schools through Autoethnography

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this paper was to discuss alternative perspective and approach to school athlete clubs through raising educational issues and dilemmas by an autoethnography about my teaching experience in elementary schools. The specific conclusions and suggestions are as follow. First, The selection of student-athlete was determined by exercise competence rather than exercise interest of students. Athlete clubs, which were managed by a small number of student-athletes had difficulties because of negative perception of parents and financial problem. For this matters, We need to implement parents education and financial support. Second, The dilemmas of teaching method were rooted in national physical education policy that evaluated and managed lower education institutions by extrinsic reward mechanism. Therefore, upper education institutions should reconsider strict evaluation system such as zero-sum game. Third, The management by the result system of school athlete clubs was based on pseudo-economic principle and the law of the jungle. To solve this problems, We should improve a national sports tournament, and we should carefully consider underachievement of student-athletes. Fourth, athlete club teacher in elementary schools had difficulty in follow-up service for student-athletes. So, we need to demand definite scholastic ability to student-athletes. And we should reinforce network among education institutions for revitalizing follow-up service.
