고든의 학습이론에 기초한 오디에이션 활동이 유아의 음악소질에 미치는 영향 = The Effect of Children's Audiation Activities based on Gordon's Music Learning Theory on Their Music Aptitude

The Purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of children's audiation activities based on Gordon's musical learning theory on their musical aptitude. To achieve this purpose, 30 children aged 5 were selected as an experimental group and 30 children aged 5 were selected as a control group at a different kindergarten. The experimental group participated in the 13 audiation activities based on Gordon's music learning theory. This group had lessons for 25 minutes twice a week for 7 weeks. In order to find out the effect of the treatment, 'The Primary Measures of Music Audiation' test was administered to each group for pretest and posttest. The collected data was basically analyzed by t-test. The results of this study demonstrated that the audiation activities based on Gordon's music learning theory essentially increase the musical aptitude of children. It is recommended that children follow a curriculum which encourage them to develop early musical aptitude through the audiation activities.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 고든(1994)의 학습이론에 기초한 오디에이션 활동이 유아의 음악소질 향상에 효과가 있는지를 알아보는 데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위하여 서울에 위치한 A유치원 만 5세반 30명을 실험집단으로, B유치원 만 5세반 30명을 비교집단으로 선정하여, 실험집단은 주 2회 7주간 13회에 걸쳐 고든의 학습이론에 기초한 오디에이션 활동을 실시하였고, 비교집단에는 기존의 새 노래 배우기 중심의 음악활동으로 진행하였다. 유아의 음악소질을 측정하기 위해 고든(1987)의 음악소질 검사(PMMA)를 사전, 사후검사에 실시하였다. 연구결과 오디에이션 활동을 경험한 실험집단 유아들의 음악 소질(음감, 리듬 소질)이 비교집단 유아들에 비해 의미 있게 높은 결과를 나타내었다. 이러한 결과는 유치원 내에 음악활동의 역할이 다른 영역을 강화시키는 보조 역할의 기능에서 벗어나, 오디에이션 활동을 활용하여 ‘음악을 위한 교육’으로서 독립된 음악영역으로서의 역할을 수행할 수 있음을 보여주며, 오디에이션 활동 원리들은 단편적인 새 노래 배우기중심의 음악활동에 다양한 교수법적 원리들을 제시함으로써 유아음악교육의 새로운 교수법을 시사해준다.
