신체이미지 인식에서 행위적 반응까지의 과정에 영향을 미치는 요인들 간의 관계연구: TV 노출과 사회문화적 요인의 역할 = The effect of TV exposure and sociocultural factors on the process from awareness of body-image to behavioral responses

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study investigated the relationships among TV exposure, sociocultural factors, self-satisfaction of body image, self-esteem, and behavioral responses(diet, plastic surgery) for high-school students. The path models show that internalization process caused by both societal and individual dimensions affected people`s behavioral responses significantly. Especially, societal standards affected behavioral responses more than people`s individual satisfaction or decisions. In addition, this study confirms that body satisfaction was lower among girls than among boys, and girls were more affected by sociocultural factors than boys, because they were more internalized societal standards of ideal body images. Implications and conclusions were also discussed.
