새터민의 대인관계적 외상 경험, 용서, 경험회피와 외상후 스트레스 증상간의 관계 = The relationship between interpersonal trauma exposure, experiential avoidance, forgiveness and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Symptoms in North Korean refugee

The present study investigates relationship between interpersonal trauma exposure, experiential avoidance, forgiveness and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder(PTSD) Symptoms in North Korean refugee. Among 135 North Korean refugee in Seoul and In chon who participated in the survey, data from 115 North Korean refugee were analyzed. All the participants reported that the interpersonal traumatic event had exposed and approximately 93.9% reported that the interpersonal traumatic event had exposed. Gender differences in symptoms of avoidance-numbing and hyperarousal of PTSD symptoms were significantly found. The results of hierarchical multiple regression analysis revealed that experiential avoidance significantly predicted reexperience symptoms. And experiential avoidance and gender significantly predicted avoidance-numbing and hyperarousal symptoms. The findings of this study provide a important data on the interpersonal trauma experience and its psychological effect on North Korean refugee. Several limitations of this study as well as suggestions for future study were discussed. Implications for treatment of PTSD symptoms and suggestions for future study as well as several limitations of this study are discussed.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 새터민의 대인관계적 외상경험, 용서, 경험회피와 외상후 스트레스 증상간의 관계를 알아보고자 하였다. 연구 대상은 서울과 인천에 거주하는 새터민 115명으로 남성 43명과 여성 72명이다. 본 연구에서는 성별에 따른 외상후 스트레스 증상의 차이를 알아보기 위해 t-test와 변인들 간의 상대적 영향력을 살펴보기 위해 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과 새터민 모두 한개 이상의 외상경험이 있었고, 약 93.9%가 두개 이상의 대인 관계적 외상 경험이 있다고 보고하였다. 외상후 스트레스 증상의 하위 영역인 회피․마비 증상과 과각성 증상에 있어서 남녀 간의 성차가 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 외상후 스트레스 증상의 하위 영역(재경험, 회피․마비, 과각성)을 종속변수로 하여 위계적 회귀분석을 실시한 결과 경험회피가 재경험 증상을 예측하는데 유의한 변인인 것으로 나타났고, 경험회피와 성별이 회피․마비 증상과 과각성 증상을 예측하는데 유의한 변인인 것으로 나타났다. 연구 결과 경험회피가 외상후 스트레스 증상에 미치는 예측력은 재경험 증상, 회피․마비 증상과 과각성 증상에서 발견되었다. 본 연구를 통해 새터민 대인관계 외상 경험으로 인한 외상후 스트레스 증상의 심리적 영향을 이해하는 경험적 근거와 새터민의 외상 후 스트레스 증상에 대한 치료적 함의와 추후 연구를 위한 제언과 연구의 제한점을 제시하였다.
