부모진로행동이 중학생자녀의 진로결정 자기효능감과 진로성숙에 미치는 영향 = The Influence of Parent Career Behavior on Middle School Student's Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy and Career Maturity

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aims at inspecting Parent Career Behavior of performance of the middle school student's career decision-making self-efficacy and career maturity and providing useful information on Young Adolescents's Career Development. As measurement tools for this study, 28 questions from the Parent Career Behavior Checklist, developed by Keller & Whiston in 2008, 12 questions Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy among Middle School Self-Efficacy Scale developed by Fouad, Smith and Enoch(1997), and the modified scale for middle and high school students, colleges and universities students by E. K. Lee(2001) from the Career Attitude Maturity Inventory were used. Such as the social-economy level of parents and scholarly attainment were included as background variables. The total number of students involved as subjects were 367, consisting of 183 male students (49.9%) and 184 female students (50.1%). Among 421 questionnaires collected, 367 copies of the final effective ones were statistically analyzed using SPSS Win 17.0 Program. As for the testing methods used for the statistical analysis, descriptive analysis was used to calculate frequency & percentage, and related samples paired t-test, Decision trees were conducted to find parent career behavior for estimating level of middle school student's career decision-making self-efficacy and career maturity. Therefore, this study has proven that parent career behavior have an impact on career decision-making self-efficacy and career maturity in third-year middle school students. Based on such study results, it is meaningful to provide educational direction for parent career behavior for the enhancement of career decision-making self-efficacy and career maturity which is to be a motive of career development for middle school students and to provide an efficient method and educational implication for career related parent behavior.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 중학교 3학년 학생들을 대상으로 이들이 지각하고 있는 부모진로행동이 진로결정 자기효능감과 진로성숙에 미치는 영향력을 알아보고, 중학생의 진로결정 자기효능감과 진로성숙에 중요한 역할을 하는 구체적인 부모의 진로행동을 확인함으로써 청소년들의 진로발달을 촉진하는데 유용한 정보를 제공하고자 하였다. 서울, 경기도에 소재하고 있는 중학교 3학년 학생 367명과 그들의 동일 부모를 대상으로 하였으며 조사기간은 2009년 5월 1일부터 5월 6일까지였다. 부모진로행동에 대한 부모-자녀간 평균차이를 알아보기 위한 방법으로 대응표본 t-test를 사용하고 중학생자녀의 진로결정 자기효능감과 진로성숙을 예측할 수 있는 부모의 진로행동을 알아보기 위해 의사결정나무분석법을 사용하였다. 부모진로행동에 대하여 자녀 보다는 부모가 긍정적으로 지각하고 있었는데 부모를 대상으로 하는 교육현장에서 부모-자녀간 지각차이에 대한 인식이 필요함을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 중학생 자녀의 진로결정 자기효능감과 진로성숙을 예측하는데 부모의 진로정보제공보다는 심리적지지가 예측력이 우위에 있었다. 부모진로행동 요인 중 심리적지지가 큰 영향을 미치는 바, 가정에서 진로관련 자녀교육을 할 때 구체적인 진로정보제공보다는 심리적지지가 더 효과적임을 입증하고 있다. 이러한 연구결과에 기초하여 중학생의 진로발달에 원동력이 되는 진로결정 자기효능감과 진로성숙 증진을 위한 부모진로행동의 교육적 방향을 제시하고 합리적인 부모교육 방안을 제공하는 데 본 연구의 의의가 있다.
