부모의 언어표현 형식이 자녀의 사회인지발달과 인지적 의사소통능력에 미치는 효과에 대한 연구 = A Study on the Effects of Linguistic Forms of Parental Communication on Children`s Social Cognitive Development and Cognitive Communication Competence

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Like the contents of public service advertising, parents frequently have used directive and inhibitive linguistic expressions to their children`s studies, computer uses, etc, which led children to being reluctant to converse with parents for children considered parents` imperative expressions as interference. Ultimately children could not develop their cognitive and communicative competence which were supposed to be developed through conversation with parents, which resulted in decreases in social adaptation. Thus this study examined the effects of parental linguistic styles on the development of children`s social cognition and cognitive communication competence. A survey was conducted with 820 higher grade elementary students recruited from five school in four big cities. The results showed that the descriptive form among four styles of parental linguistic expressions predicted mostly children`s interpersonal construct complexity and cognitive communication competence. Specific results and discussions were presented at the end of this paper.
