종교성과 안녕감 간의 관계에서 삶의 의미와 낙관성의 매개 역할 = Mediating Roles of Meaning in Life and Optimism in the Relation between Religiousness and Well-being

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 종교성이 어떤 과정을 통해 안녕감에 영향을 미치는지 살펴보기 위해, 종교성과 안녕감간에 삶의 의미와 낙관성이 매개 역할을 하는지 살펴보았다. 종교가 있는 260명의 대학생들을 대상으로 종교행동/종교깊이 질문지, 내재적-외재적 종교성향척도, 삶의 의미 척도, 낙관성 척도, 그리고 삶에 대한 만족 척도에 응답하게 하였다. 상관관계 분석 결과 모든 변인들 간에 유의미한 정적 상관이 있었다. 구조방정식 분석 결과, 삶의 의미는 종교성과 낙관성 간을, 낙관성은 삶의 의미와 안녕감간을, 그리고 삶의 의미는 종교성과 안녕감 간을 매개하였으며, 완전매개모형보다는 부분매개모형이 더 적합한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 종교성이 안녕감에 영향을 미치는데 있어서 두 가지 방식이 있음을 보여주었다. 첫 번째 방식은 종교성이 높아질수록 삶의 의미가 높아지며 삶의 의미가 높아질수록 낙관성이 높아져 결국 안녕감이 증가하게 되는 것이다. 두 번째 방식은 종교성이 높아질수록 삶의 의미가 높아지고 이로 인해 안녕감이 증가하게 되는 것이다. 본 연구 결과는 상담실제에서 종교를 가진 내담자에 대한 효과적인 개입방법을 시사하고 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study examined whether meaning in life and optimism mediates the impact of religiousness on well-being. The participants of this study were 260 Christian students at Universities in Seoul, Cheonan, and Busan cities. All the correlations among variables were significant in the positive direction. Using Structural Equation Modeling techniques, it was found that (a) meaning in life mediated the relationship between religiousness and optimism, (b) optimism mediated the relationship between meaning in life and well-being, and (c) meaning in life mediated the relationship between religiousness and well-being. These results indicated how religiousness influence well-being and suggested how to intervene effectively to religious clients in the counseling process.
