초등학생용 도덕지능검사의 개발 및 타당화 = The Development and Validation of the Moral Intelligence Test for Elementary School Children

This research focused on developing and validating the Moral Intelligence Test for Elementary School Children(MIT-ESC). Through the literature review, PIT-ESC is conceptualized as the capacity to reflect upon what is right and wrong with all the emotional and intellectual resources of the human mind. Seven areas(empathy, conscience, self-control, respect, kindness, tolerance, fairness) were suggested as sub-domains of MIT-ESC, based upon literature reviews as well as discussions with 6 expert professors. 12 items per sub-domain were included in the pilot test, but 8 items per sub-domain, that is 56 items in total, were finally selected in the MIT-ESC, in reference to the pilot test results. The complete form of MIT-ESC was conducted with 892 elementary school children in order to confirm the validity and reliability as a good measurement tool. Based upon the data analysis, the MIT-ESC has good construct validity, which was checked by the correlation analysis among seven sub-domains as well as the confirmatory factor analysis using structural equation model. In addition, Cronbach`s α ranged from .74 to .87. and the test-retest reliability ranged from .81 to .92. In conclusion, the newly developed MIT-ESC has acceptable psychometric characteristics, and it can be used in future studies.
