한국 대학생의 자아정체감 및 진로정체감과 진로성숙의 관계에 대한 성차 연구 = A study of sex differences on the relationship between self-identity, vocational-identity and career attitude maturity in korean college Students

This study examined sex differences in the relationship between self-identity status, vocational identity and career attitude maturity. A total of 508 college students(male 297, female 211) participated in this study. The participants completed questionnaires of self-identity, career exploration, vocational exploration and commitment, and career attitude maturity. The results showed the followings. First, all of male and female students were categorized into four vocational identity status as referred to Marcia's theory. second, there were significant distinctions between self-identity status' distribution and vocational identity status' distribution of both male and female students. but there were no sex differences in self-identity status' distribution and vocational identity status' distribution itself. third, even though the same status of self-identity, comparison results showed that there were meaningful sex differences in career attitude maturity of foreclosure status, female college students' career attitude maturity score was significantly higher than male college students. Fourth, there were significant sex differences in career attitude maturity by self-identity status. male students in moratorium status reported higher career attitude maturity than those in foreclosure status, whereas female students reported no differences between two statuses. Fifth, in vocational-identity status, both male and female college students in achievement and foreclosure status reported higher scores on career attitude maturity than those in moratorium and diffusion status. Limitations of the present study and suggestions for future research were discussed.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 남학생과 여학생을 분리하여, 진로정체감이 Marcia의 모델과 같이 네 가지 지위로 구분되는가를 확인하고, 자아정체감 지위와 진로정체감 지위가 진로태도성숙에 미치는 영향에 대한 성차를 확인하였다. 연구는 대학생 508명(남학생 297명, 여학생 211명)을 대상으로 하여 자아정체감 척도, 진로탐색행동척도, 진로결정몰입 척도, 진로태도성숙 척도로 구성된 설문지를 실시하여 진행되었다. 진로정체감 지위를 구분하기 위해 군집분석을 실시하였으며, 자아정체감과 진로정체감에 따른 진로태도성숙의 차이를 확인하기 위해, 일변량 분석을 사용하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫 째, 진로정체감은 남학생과 여학생 모두에서 진로탐색행동과 진로결정몰입에 따라 Marcia의 모델처럼 네 가지 지위-성취, 유예, 유실, 혼미-로 분류되었다. 둘 째, 대학생의 자아정체감 지위와 진로정체감 지위 분포를 비교한 결과, 남학생과 여학생 모두에서 자아정체감 지위와 진로정체감 지위가 동일하게 발달하지 않고 있었고, 자아정체감과 진로정체감 네 지위의 분포에서도 성차가 나타나지 않았다. 셋 째, 동일한 정체감 지위에서 진로태도성숙에 대한 성차를 확인한 결과, 자아정체감의 유실지위에서 여학생의 진로태도성숙이 남학생보다 유의미하게 높은 것으로 나타났다. 넷 째, 자아정체감 지위에 따른 진로태도성숙에서 유의미한 성차가 발견되었다. 남학생의 경우는 자아정체감의 유예지위가 유실 지위보다 높은 진로태도성숙을 보였으나, 여학생은 유예 지위와 유실 지위의 진로태도성숙에 유의미한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 다섯 째, 남학생과 여학생 집단 모두에서 진로정체감 성취 지위와 유실 지위가 유예, 혼미지위보다 높은 진로태도성숙을 가진 것으로 확인되었다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 제한점과 후속연구에 대하여 논의하였다.
