아버지의 부모효능감과 양육참여도에 따른 유아기 자녀의 자기능력에 대한 지각 = Young Children's Self-Perceived Competence according to Fathers' Parenting Efficacy and Participation in Child Rearing

The purposes of this study were to investigate the relationship between fathers' parenting efficacy and participation in child rearing and to examine the children's self-perceived competence according to fathers' parenting efficacy and participation in child rearing. The subjects of this study were 150 father-child dyads. Instruments were questionnaires for fathers and the self-perceived competence for young children. The results were as follows: First, fathers' parenting efficacy was highly correlated with their participation in child rearing. Second, young children's self-perceived competence differed according to father's parenting efficacy. Third, young children's self-perceived competence differed according to father's participation in child rearing. This study revealed the importance of father-child interaction and fathers' role in child rearing.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 아버지의 부모효능감과 양육참여도와 관계를 살펴보고 아버지의 부모효능감 및 양육참여도에 따라 자녀의 자기 능력에 대한 지각에 어떠한 차이가 있는 지를 알아보기 위한 것이다. 경기도 지역 유치원과 어린이집에 다니는 만 4세, 만 5세 유아와 그의 아버지 총 150쌍이 연구에 참여 했다. 아버지의 부모효능감, 양육참여도 분석을 위해 자기보고서식 질문지 형식의 척도를 사용했으며, 유아의 자기능력지각분석을 위해 자기능력지각척도를 사용하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 아버지의 부모효능감과 양육참여도는 상관이 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 특히 아버지의 부모효능감은 양육참여도의 하위요인 중 인지적 성취지도와 높은 상관을 보였다. 둘째, 아버지의 부모효능감에 따라 자녀의 자기능력에 대한 지각에 차이를 보였다. 셋째, 아버지의 양육참여도에 따라 자녀의 자기능력에 대한 지각에 차이를 보였다. 이러한 결과로 볼 때 아버지가 높은 부모효능감을 가지고 양육에 참여할 때 자녀의 자기능력에 대한 지각을 긍정적으로 하는 것임을 알 수 있다. 따라서 유아교육기관에서는 아버지들에게 자녀양육에 대한 올바른 부모효능감을 가질 수 있는 방법과 효과적인 양육참여방법에 관한 부모교육 프로그램들을 제공할 필요성이 있으며, 아버지 역할에 관해 교육받을 기회를 제공하는 것이 중요함을 시사한다.
