국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 가족 내 사회적 자본과 청소년의 학업성취와의 관계를 알아보고자 종단연구의 구조방정식 모델인 ARCL모델을 적용하였다. 이에 한국청소년정책연구원의 청소년패널(KYPS)의 1차~4차년도 중등용 2,490명을 대상으로 하였다. 사용된 통계 프로그램은 Amos7.0, SPSS 12.0K을 이용하였다.
연구 결과, 첫째, 가족 내 사회적 자본이 학업성취에 미치는 것은 중학교 시절 보다 고등학교 시절에 큰 영향을 미친다는 것이다.
둘째, 학업성취가 가족 내 사회적 자본에 미치는 영향은 부적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 중학교에서 고등학교로 진학하는 시점부터 학업에 대한 심리적인 부담을 가지기 시작한다는 의미로도 해석할 수 있다. 중학교에서 고등학교로 진학하는 시기부터 대학입시에 이르기 까지 가족 내 사회적 자본이 안정적으로 유지할 때 청소년들이 심리적으로 안정감을 느끼게 되고 편안한 마음으로 학업성취를 계속 유지 할 수 있게 된다는 것이다.
