정신장애인 가족의 돌봄 경험과 삶의 질: 차별경험의 조절효과 = Moderating effect of social discrimination between the relationship care giving and quality of life among family members with mental disorder

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Mental disorder is a chronic illness which brings stress, burden to family but limited research has been undertaken regarding family members care giving and quality of life(QOL). This study was to identify the moderation effect of social discrimination between the relationship care giving and QOL among family members with mental disorder. Data for this study were collected through the use of a survey instrument completed by 294 family members with mental disorder. Collected data were analysed by t-test, ANOVA, moderated regression. The findings of this study were as follows: First, subjects reported more higher care satisfaction than care burden and especially parents reported more higher care burden and lower QOL than other family members. Second, care giving had significant impact on QOL. Third, social discrimination had moderating effect between the relationship care giving and QOL. Based on these findings, family support program were suggested to improve family members' QOL.
