독재자 게임으로 살펴 본 아동의 이타적 행동의 발달, 성차와 조망수용의 역할

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 이타적 행동이 연령과 성별에 따라서 어떠한 차이를 나타내는지 알아보고, 조망수용과 이타적 행동의 관련성을 알아보았다. 연구1에서는 D광역시에 거주하는 만4세, 6세와 8세 아동 157명들에게 경제게임 가운데 하나인 독재자 게임을 실시하여 아동들에게 10개의 자원을 자신과 가상의 친구에게 원하는 대로 나누어주게 하였다. 아동은 나이가 들수록 더 이타적으로 행동하였는데, 이타적 행동은 특히 만 8세에 많이 증가하였고, 모든 연령에서 여아가 남아보다 더 이타적으로 행동하였다. 연구2에서는 연구1에 참여하였던 만 4세 아동 47명들에게 인지적 조망수용 과제와 정서적 조망수용 과제를 실시하고 이타적 행동과의 관련성을 살펴보았다. 인지적 조망수용 가운데 의도조망 수용과 정서적 조망수용이 각각 이타적 행동과 정적 상관을 보여서 아동이 타인의 의도와 정서를 잘 파악할수록 더 이타적으로 행동하는 경향을 보였다. 그러나 위계적 회귀분석으로 조망수용이 이타적 행동을 예측하는지를 검증한 결과, 정서조망수용만이 이타적 행동을 예측하는 것으로 나타났다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Developmental and gender differences in young children"s altruistic behavior and the role of perspective-taking were examined with the dictator game. Four-, 6-, and 8-year-old children from kindergarten and elementary school were asked to divide 10 candies between him/herself and an anonymous friend. In study 1, older children and girls behaved more altruistically, although the majority of children displayed altruistic behavior even at the youngest age level. Specifically, 8-year-old children offered significantly more candies to other person than did 4-year-old children. In study 2, both intentional and affective perspective-taking displayed significant positive correlations with altruistic offer. However, only affective perspective-taking predicted altruistic offer significantly.
