컨설팅장학에 대한 초등교사의 인식 = An Analysis of the Elementary Teachers` Perception of the Consulting Supervision

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to provide the basic data for efficient administration of the consulting supervision through analyzing the elementary teachers` perception of it`s charateristics, necessity, reality, and problems. Using the structured interview method, this study investigated 32 elementary teachers` perception of the consulting supervision. Major findings are as follows. Teachers expected that the consulting supervision should become ‘the activities in which the teachers who had high expertise offered help to solve mostly the instruction-related problems’. In practice, the consulting supervision have become a duty to the teachers. As a result, participating the consulting supervision has resulted in the passive attitudes of teachers. And they may decrease the effectiveness of the consulting supervision by interacting with lack of the competences and qualifications of the consultants, which would in turn intensify negative perception of teachers. But the possibility was somewhat expected that the consulting supervision which is based on the needs and spontaneous demands of the schools and teachers and high expertise of the consultants would result in the positive responses of the teachers. From now on, such tasks as securing spontaneity of the teachers/shools and expertise of the consultants, enhancing the status of the teachers/schools as the main agents of the consulting supervision, establishing identity of it, and considering the diversity of perceptions of teachers`.
