진로교육연구 학술지의 연구 동향 = A Review of Research in the Journal of Career Education Research

The purpose of this study is to analyze the contents and methodologies of papers in the “Journal of Career Education Research” which the Korean Society for the study of career education. This paper provides an overview of the career education research for 10 years(from 2003 to 2012), and suggest the implication and recommendation for the academic progression in the area of career education in Korea. A total of 349 articles were analyzed by using the criteria. The criteria for analysis included the following aspects of career education research: the number of article as publication year, the number of researchers, the characteristics of researchers, the types of research methods, focused-institutes and populations, statistical techniques used, the target group of research, the topics of career education, and key words. The data were analyzed using frequencies and percentages. The result of review were as follows. During the last 10 years showed a big growth in career education research. In comparison with the research before 2003, the target group of research and the topics of career education were expanded and has increased diaversity.
The most common target group of research performed was for students in school. These results indicate that necessity and justification for Career Education has already been made, we are under active discussion about practical career and educational development direction. Based on the results, several recommendations were made for the better research on career education.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구의 목적은 한국진로교육학회가 2003년부터 2012년 동안 발행한 진로교육연구에 게재된 논문을 분석․종합하여 진로교육연구의 발전과정을 살펴보고 향후 연구 방향을 모색하는데 있다. 기존 선행연구에서 사용된 분석준거 틀을 바탕으로 본 연구 목적에 맞게 수정 및 보완하였으며, 일반적인 현황, 연구자의 특성, 연구유형, 연구대상, 연구주제별 분석을 실시하였다. 최근 10년간 게재된 349편을 대상으로 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 진로교육연구 게재 논문은 창간호 이래로 지속적으로 증가하여 연도별 약 40편 내외의 논문이 발행되고 있었다. 연구 유형별로는 경험연구가 높은 비율을, 경험연구 중에서는 횡단자료를 활용한 조사연구의 비율이 높게 나타났다. 연구대상으로는 초․중․고등학교의 학령층을 대상으로 한 연구가 110편(37.9%)으로 가장 많이 수행되었으며, 장애인, 학교부적응 등의 취약계층을 비롯하여 연구대상이 점차 다양할뿐 아니라 확대되고 있었다. 연구주제는 기타를 포함하여 총 11가지의 주제로 구분하였으며, 진로발달 행동 연구가 92편(29.9%), 프로그램 개발 및 효과검증이 70편(22.7%)으로 두 주제의 비율이 절반 이상으로 나타났다. 분석결과를 통한 결론은 다음과 같다. 기존 선행연구와 비교하였을 때 나타난 이 연구의 가장 큰 특징은 진로교육 관련 연구 주제의 확대이다. 이제는 진로교육의 필요성과 당위성에 대한 충분한 공감을 토대로 진로교육의 세부적인 발전방향과 방법 등의 실질적인 논의가 활발히 진행되고 있음을 알 수 있다. 또한 진로행동발달 관련 연구 및 진로프로그램 관련 연구는 지속적으로 높은 비중을 차지하는 것으로 나타나 진로교육연구의 주요 주제임이 밝혀졌다. 이 밖에 추후 진로교육연구가 나아갈 방향에 대해 논의하였다.
