중등교육단계 청소년 진로 결정요인 및 결과: 고등학교 계열선택을 중심으로 = The Factors associated with Youths' Career Deicision Making at the Secondary Education Level and Its Effect

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study examined what factors are associated with the choice of high school track and how the choice of high school track is related with the afterward student outcomes. The original purpose of the traditional tracking system in the secondary education level became obscure and questions are raised on the need of the secondary education level tracking. The 2nd, 3rd and 4th year data of Korea Youth Panel Survey were used for the analysis. Monthly income, educational aspiration, academic performance, and sex were found to be associated with the choice of high school track. There were statistically significant differences between general high school students and vocational high school students regarding school adjustment, interest in schoolwork, relationship with teachers, self-concept and life satisfaction.
