공격성과 또래괴롭힘 가해행동의 관계에 대한 부모양육태도의 조절효과 = The Moderating Effect of Parenting Style on the Relationship between Aggression and Bullying Behavior

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to identify dangerous routes by which aggression causes the bullying behavior and to clarify moderating effect of parenting style which control the routes. The subjects were 1014 elementary and middle school children in capital area, Korea. The major findings of this study are as follows. First, aggression was positively related to bullying behavior in boys and girls. Second, through moderating effects on the relationship between aggression and bullying behavior, the parenting style such as supervision, over intervention, neglect were moderating variables that control the routes in boys, but that of girls were reasonable explanation, abuse and neglect. The results of the study indicate the connection between aggression and bullying behavior as well as the moderating effect of parenting style on the influence of aggression on bullying behavior.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 학교사회문제중의 하나인 또래괴롭힘 문제에 주목하고 이에 대한 개입 방안을 모색해 보고자 하였다. 구체적인 연구내용으로 먼저, 또래괴롭힘 가해행동의 주요 예측변인으로 지목되고 있는 공격성의 영향력을 확인해 보고, 다음으로 공격성이 또래괴롭힘 가해행동으로 이어지는 경로에 있어 그 영향력을 강화하거나 약화시키는 요인, 즉, 조절요인으로서의 부모양육태도의 효과를 검증해 보고자 하였다. 수도권 지역 내 초․중학교에 재학 중인 남녀 학생을 대상으로 자료수집을 하였고, 총 1014부의 자료를 최종분석에 포함하였다. 연구결과, 공격성은 남녀 집단 모두에서 또래괴롭힘을 예측하는 주요 변인으로 밝혀졌다. 공격성이 또래괴롭힘 가해행동에 미치는 영향에 대한 부모양육태도의 조절효과는 남학생 집단의 경우, 부모양육태도-감독, 과잉간섭, 방임의 조절효과가 유의한 것으로, 여학생 집단의 경우, 부모양육태도-합리적 설명, 학대, 방임의 조절효과가 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 또래괴롭힘에 대한 예방과 차단 전략으로 우선 공격성이 높은 개인에게 주목할 필요가 있음을 보여주고 있으며, 또한 괴롭힘을 비롯한 아동청소년의 문제나 비행 예방에 있어 가정 내 부모양육태도의 중요성과 이에 대한 교육 및 상담 필요성을 시사해 준다.
