양육스트레스, 양육지식이 양육효능감에 미치는 영향 : 영유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 비교연구 = The Effects of Parenting Stress and Parenting Knowledge on Parenting Self-Efficacy: A Comparative Study between Infant and Early Childhood Mothers

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to explore the difference between mother's parenting self-efficacy, parenting stress, and parenting knowledge according to development stages of infant and early childhood, and to investigate related variable effects on mother's parenting self-efficacy.
Subjects of this study were 458 mothers of children aged 1 to 5 in Ulsan area. The measures were mother's parenting self-efficacy, parenting stress, and parenting knowledge.
The findings of this study were as follows.
First, the mother's parenting self-efficacy was significantly different according to the development stage. Parenting self-efficacy of early childhood mothers indicated higher than that of infant mothers.
Second, the mother's parenting stress was significantly different according to the development stage. Parenting stress of infant mothers indicated higher than that of early childhood mothers.
Third, the mother's parenting knowledge was significantly different according to the development stage. Parenting stress of early childhood mothers indicated higher than that of infant mothers.
Fourth, with regard to the relationship between mother's parenting self-efficacy and parenting stress, all sub-factors of parenting self-efficacy and parenting stress showed a significant negative correlation. Relationship between mother's parenting knowledge and parenting self-efficacy showed a significant correlation but indicated partially different types according to development stages of infant and early childhood.
Fifth, According to the result from the regression analysis to grasp what variables would affect mother's parenting self-efficacy, parenting stress and parenting knowledge influenced mother's parenting self-efficacy, which explained 30% of variables in both development stages of infant and early childhood.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 영유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 양육효능감, 양육스트레스, 양육지식을 비교하고 그 관련성 및 설명력을 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 U시의 영유아기 자녀를 둔 600명 어머니를 대상으로 일반적 특성, 양육효능감, 양육스트레스, 양육지식 검사를 실시하였으며 최종 458명이 선정되었다. 연구결과 첫째, 어머니의 양육효능감은 영유아기의 발달단계에 따라 유의미한 차이를 보였으며, 유아기 어머니의 양육효능감이 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 양육스트레스 또한 영유아기의 발달단계에 따라 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 연령이 어린 자녀를 지닐수록 어머니는 더 많은 양육스트레스를 경험하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 양육지식 또한 영유아기 발달단계에 따라 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 양육지식이 더 높게 나타났다. 넷째, 영유아기 어머니 모두 양육효능감은 양육스트레스와 부적 상관을 보여 양육효능감이 높을수록 양육스트레스는 감소하였다. 양육지식은 영유아기 모두 양육효능감과 상관을 보였으나 영유아기에 따라 부분적으로 다른 양상을 보였다. 영아기의 경우 정서, 인지, 신체 발달지식 순으로 나타난 반면 유아기는 정서, 인지와 사회성 발달지식 순으로 나타났고 정서발달지식은 영유아기 모두 양육효능감과 가장 높은 상관을 보였다. 다섯째, 영유아기 어머니의 양육효능감을 설명함에 있어 양육스트레스와 양육지식 모두 유의미한 변인이었으며, 하위 영역에 따라서는 영유아기의 발달단계에 따라 부분적인 차이를 보였다. 영아기에는 정서발달지식, 자녀의 까다로운 기질, 역기능적인 상호작용이, 유아기에는 자녀의 까다로운 기질, 부모의 고통, 신체발달지식, 정서발달지식 순으로 양육효능감을 설명하는 주요 변인으로 나타났다.
