청소년상담에서 작업동맹의 변화 형태와 수준에 따른 상담성과 = Relationship between developmental patterns of working alliance and outcome in adolescent counseling

The purpose of this study is to identify developmental patterns of working alliance and examine whether it has a relation with outcome in adolescent counseling. Subjects were 42 adolescent clients aged from 13 to 19 who finished 10 sessions of counseling. The working alliance was assessed by client self-report every session, and Y-OQ-SR, BAI, and BDI were assessed before initial session and after counseling termination. The results were as follows. First, counseling outcome was highest with working alliance on the 2nd session. It was confirmed that the formation of the early stage of working alliance was important same with that of adults. Second, developmental patterns of working alliance were divided into ‘ascending type’, ‘crisis resolution type’, and ‘decending type’. Third, different patterns of working alliance showed little difference in counseling outcomes. Implications and limitations of this study were discussed.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 청소년 내담자의 작업동맹 수준과 변화 형태를 확인하고 이것이 얼마나 상담성과를 잘 예측하는지 확인하는 것이다. 연구대상은 13세에서 19세까지의 남녀 청소년 내담자 42명으로, 그들은 10회의 단기상담을 받았다. 작업동맹을 측정하기 위해 매회 상담이 종료된 직후 작업동맹 질문지를 실시하였고, 상담성과 측정을 위해 상담시작 전 그리고 상담종결 직후 Y-OQ-SR, BAI 및 BDI를 실시하고, 상담만족도는 종결 직후에 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 청소년 내담자의 상담성과는 2회에서 측정한 작업동맹과 가장 높은 상관을 보였다. 이는 성인상담과 마찬가지로 청소년 상담에서도 초기의 작업동맹 형성이 중요함을 보여주는 것이다. 둘째, 청소년 내담자의 작업동맹 변화 형태는 ‘상승형’, ‘위기 해결형’, ‘하강형’으로 구분될 수 있었다. 셋째, 작업동맹 변화 형태에 따라 상담성과에서의 유의한 차이는 나타나지 않았고, 상담성과는 작업동맹의 전체 수준과 유의한 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과의 의의와 제한점에 대해 논의하였다.
