지적장애인의 취업에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구 = Determinant of Employment for the People with Intellectual Disabilities in Korea

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 지적장애인의 취업에 영향을 미치는 요인을 인구사회학적 요인, 건강 및 장애관련 요인, 사회적지지 요인, 직무관련 요인을 통해 탐색하였다. 이를 위해, 본 연구는 서울시와 경기도 소재 장애인복지관 직업재활센터를 통해 지원고용 및 일반고용상태에 있는 지적장애인, 보호작업시설 및 근로작업시설에 고용되어 있는 지적장애인과 미취업상태에 있는 지적장애인을 조사 대상으로 구조화된 설문지를 사용하여 지적장애인이 자기기입하는 방식으로 자료를 수집하였다. 본 연구의 분석방법으로는 빈도분석, 백분율, 평균 등의 기술적 통계를 통해 조사대상들의 일반적 특성을 파악하였으며, 조사대상자들의 인구사회학적 요인, 건강 및 장애관련 요인, 사회적지지 요인 직무관련 요인별 취업여부를 x2-검증을 통해 분석하였으며, 취업에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 규명하기 위하여 로지스틱 회귀분석을 사용하였다. 본 연구의 주요 결과를 살펴보면, 지적장애인들의 연령, 국민기초생활보장 수급 유무, 장애가족 여부, 직업재활서비스이용 경험, 이전 취업경험, 직업기술능력 등의 요인들이 이들의 취업에 통계학적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 토대로 본 연구에서는 지적장애인의 고용증진을 위한 방안에 대한 논의와 이에 따르는 제언을 전달하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The study explored the factors that affect the people with intellectual disabilities(PWID)' employment. Specifically, it tried to examine how the sociodemographic, health and disability, social support and job-related factors of the PWID had affect their employability. The sample of this study were 207 PWID who lived in the Seoul metropolitan areas. This study conducted descriptive statistical analysis, x2-tests, correlation analyses and multiple logistic regression analyses to explore the determinants of their employment. Although diverse factors contributed on the employment of the PWID, only age, receipt of the National Basic Livelihood Security, existence of disabled family members, experiences of vocational rehabilitation services, previous employment experiences and the level of job skills were statistically significant contributors. Finally, several promising strategies of employment for the PWID were discussed based on these results.
