창조도시 개념을 통한 지방도시의 원도심 활성화 방안에 관한 연구 = 안양시 원도심 중심으로

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Rapid Urbanization and outskirt developments have expanded city space and city center has been weakened and declined. Consequently, many mid-sized citys old-towns have been facing deterioration followed by blighted infrastructures, deteriorated economic and environmental conditions, serious decrease in population, recession of the regional economies, decline of commercial businesses, and decrease in investment.
As a result, there have been demands for securing quality of life in cities, requiring continuous techniques for downtown reproduction addressing the ageing of downtowns properly. Thus, this study examines basic theoretical background by literatures, theory, precedent studies related to old downtown & creative city. and carried out survey to find out actual demands from residents in Anyangs old town followed by precedent analysis form other cities responded similar urban problems with creative city concept. By doing so, this study suggests activating methodology for Anyangs old downtown to find out the implications and applicability of creative city as recreating strategy.
