군리더의 감성지능이 군조직유효성에 미치는 영향 = The Effect of Military Leader`s Emotional Intelligence on Organizational Effectiveness in ROKA

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study has purposes that military leader`s emotional intelligence can affect subordinates` morale and cohesiveness as a core element in the military organization`s effectiveness during peace time and combat situations and exchange relationships between leaders and subordinates have some kind of regulating effects. Through these analysis, proper military leadership measures can be proposed. For this purpose, an empirical analysis was performed with two battalions which are performing the most similar training with real combat situations and two other battalions which have normal situations. After the analysis, in the peace time, leaders` emotional intelligence can affect positively on subordinates` morale and cohesiveness as other advanced studies, and each elements can affect positively on subordinates` morale and cohesiveness during combat situations. Moreover, leader-member exchange(LMX) level shows positive regulating effects between military leader`s emotional intelligence and organization effectiveness. These results suggest that military leaders should show emotional intelligence effectively in peace as well as war time and have favorable relationships that can insure successful command. Based on the results, military staff members` education includes subjects on emotional intelligence, leadership doctrine includes emotional intelligence parts and staff members with rich emotional intelligence should get preference in manpower managing system.
