남녀 중학생의 공격성 군집에 따른 괴롭힘 관련 태도와 도덕적 이탈의 차이 = Differences in Attitudes Toward Bullying and Moral Disengagement Among Aggression Clusters in Middle School Students

This study examined profiles of aggression varying in forms and functions. Seven-hundred ninety 7th graders completed self-report rating scales designed to assess aggression subtypes, attitudes toward bullying and moral disengagement. Analyses of gender differences in the level of aggression subtypes showed that the gender difference in reactive relational aggression was not significant; however, males were higher than females in reactive overt, proactive overt, and proactive relational aggression. Thus, cluster analyses were conducted for each gender and yielded three aggression clusters in each gender. The low aggression cluster and the extreme aggression cluster were common in both genders. The remaining participants were grouped into the overt aggression cluster in males and the relational aggression cluster in females. Between-cluster differences in attitudes toward bullying and the level of moral disengagement were significant in both genders. Those who were in more aggressive clusters had weaker anti-bullying attitudes, were less likely to accept the necessity of helping victims, perceived greater risk burden on helping victims, and were more morally disengaged. Finally, the implications of these results, the limitations of this study, and the suggestions for further research were presented.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구의 목적은 형태와 기능의 차원에서 다른 공격성 하위유형의 점수들로 공격성 군집을 구성하여 남녀 청소년의 공격성 프로파일을 비교하고, 괴롭힘 관련 태도와 도덕적 이탈에서 공격성 군집 간 차이를 검증하는데 있다. 중학교 1학년 790명(남자 383명, 여자 407명)에게 자기보고형 평정척도를 실시하여 자료를 수집하였다. 하위유형별 공격성 수준의 성차를 검증한 결과, 반응관계적 공격성 수준의 성차는 유의하지 않은 반면에 남학생의 반응외현적, 선제외현적, 선제관계적 공격성 수준이 여학생보다 유의하게 높았다. 이에 남녀 집단에서 따로 군집분석을 실시한 결과, 각 성별 집단에서 3개의 해석 가능한 군집이 나타났다. 낮은 공격형과 극단적 공격형은 남녀 집단에 공통된 군집이고, 남학생 집단의 외현 공격형과 여학생 집단의 관계 공격형이 추가로 구성되었다. 괴롭힘 관련 태도와 도덕적 이탈 수준에 있어 공격성 군집 간 차이가 각 성별 집단에서 유의하였다. 낮은 공격형에 비해 극단적 공격형, 외현 공격형, 관계 공격형의 괴롭힘 반대 태도가 약하고 피해또래 도움행동의 필요성 인식 수준이 낮고 피해또래 도움행동에 따른 위험 부담감과 도덕적 이탈의 수준은 높았다. 끝으로, 연구결과가 청소년 이해와 지도에 주는 시사점과 연구의 제한점을 논의하고 후속연구를 제안하였다.
