청소년의 다문화 자기효능감 척도 개발 및 타당화 = Development and Validation of a Multicultural self-efficacy Scale for Adolescent

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to develop and validate the MSES. First, 20 preliminary items were developed based on theoretical literatures and other existing scales after verification of experts. The preliminary scale was administered to a sample of 410 students. Then, after revising the preliminary items based on item-score correlation and factor extraction, the revised scale consisting of 19 items was administered to a sample of 840 students. The MSES was developed and it was consists of 2 factors and 16 items. The first factor(8 items) was self-confidence and the second factor(8 items) one with self-regulated efficacy. The internal consistency of the total scale was α＝.95. The EFA and CFA were performed in order to assess the construct validity. The 2 factor model proved good fit to the data and all items had a significant effect to each construct from which it can be concluded that convergent validity is supported for all of the items. The relationships among subfactors were examined and no strong relationship was found, supporting the discriminant validity of this scale. The construct reliability index and AVE index indicated good reliability of the this scale. Finally, limitation of the study and practical applications were discussed.
