청소년의 부모애착, 정서적 섭식행동, 정서조절과 인지왜곡의 구조적 관계 및 성별간 다집단분석 = A Structural Analysis of Parental Attachment, Emotional Eating, Emotional Regulation and Cognitive Distortion of Adolescents and Gender Group Differences

The present study aimed to confirm the mediating effect of emotional regulation and cognitive distortions on the relationship between adolescents’parental attachment and emotional eating. Additionally, this study also examined the gender differences on results of the structural equation model analysis. The data were collected from 473 middle and high school students, and were analyzed through structural equation modeling. The main research findings were as follow: First, greater secure attachment was associated with greater emotional regulation, less cognitive distortion about weight and eating and less emotional eating. In addition, greater emotional regulation was related to less emotional eating, while greater cognitive distortion about weight and eating was associated with greater emotional eating. Second, secure parental attachment did not necessarily led to less emotional eating. Rather, secure attachment led to adolescents’greater emotional regulation ability, which in turn predicted less emotional eating. Third, the more secure parental attachment was, the less cognitive distortion about weight and eating was reported. Moreover, fewer cognitive distortions was related to less emotional eating. In summary, emotional regulation and cognitive distortions mediated the relationship between parental attachment and emotional eating. The result of the present study suggested that parental attachment by itself is not a significant predictor for emotional eating, but that emotional regulation and cognitive distortions are linkage between them. Fourth, The multi group analysis results identified that there was no gender differences in the relation among constructs. The significance and limitations of the present study and directions for future research are also discussed.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 남녀 청소년의 부모애착이 정서적 섭식에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 정서조절 과 인지왜곡의 매개효과를 검증하고, 남녀 청소년 집단 간의 차이를 분석하고자 하였다. 남녀 청소년 473명으로부터 자료를 수집하였고, 수집된 자료는 구조방정식 모형을 이용 하여 분석하였으며, 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 부모와 안정애착을 지닐수록 정서 조절을 잘하고, 체중과 섭식에 대한 인지왜곡은 낮으며, 정서적 섭식행동이 덜 나타났 다. 그리고 정서조절을 잘할수록 정서적 섭식행동이 덜 나타나고, 체중과 섭식에 대한 인지왜곡이 높을수록 정서적 섭식행동이 많이 나타났다. 둘째, 부모와의 애착이 안정적 이라고 무조건 정서적 섭식행동이 떨어지는 것이 아니라, 부모와의 안정애착이 청소년 의 정서조절능력으로 이어져, 정서조절능력이 클수록 정서적 섭식행동이 덜 나타났다. 셋째, 부모와의 애착이 안정적일수록 체중과 섭식에 대한 인지왜곡을 보이는 경향이 낮 았고, 낮은 인지왜곡을 보일수록 정서적 섭식행동도 덜 나타났다. 즉, 부모애착과 정서 적 섭식 행동의 관계를 정서조절과 인지왜곡이 매개하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 통해, 부 모애착 그 자체가 정서적 섭식을 예측하는 단일 변인으로 유의하지 않고, 정서조절과 인지왜곡이 연결통로가 된다는 것을 알 수 있다. 넷째, 다집단분석 결과에 의하면, 남녀 청소년 집단 간의 경로계수에 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 의 의 및 제한점과 앞으로의 연구방향이 논의되었다.
