CPS모형을 활용한 협동미술활동이 유아의 창의성과 대인문제해결력에 미치는 영향 = The Effects of Cooperative Art Activities Appling the CPS Model on Young Children`s Creativity and Interpersonal Cognitive Problem Solving Abilities

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study investigated the effects of cooperative art activities utilizing the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) model on children`s creativity and interpersonal problem solving abilities. The 36 children in the study were between 4ㆍ5 years old (18 in the experimental group, 18 in the comparative group) who were attending a public kindergarten in G city. Cooperative art activities utilizing the CPS model was applied only to the experimental group while the comparative group carried out simple art activities. After 12 weeks of the experiment the effects on children``s creativity and interpersonal problem solving abilities were as follows. Firstly, with regards to the children``s creativity, all of its sub-components fluency, flexibility, originality, imagination and total score enhanced significantly in the experimental group than in the comparative group. Secondly, the experimental group showed significant enhancement compared to the comparative group regarding with the sub-elements of children``s interpersonal problem solving abilities, alternative solution thinking abilities, result prediction thinking abilities, and overall scores. These results imply that cooperative art activities utilizing the CPS model are more effective to enhance children``s creativity and interpersonal problem solving abilities than carrying out simple art activities.
