만 5세 남녀 유아의 상호작용적 또래놀이와 부모의 언어통제유형간 관계

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 유아의 상호작용적 또래놀이와 부모의 언어통제유형이 어떠하며, 특히 유아의 성별에 따라 차이가 나타나는지를 살펴보고, 유아의 성별에 따라 두 변인의 관계가 어떻게 나타나는지를 살펴보는 것이다. 연구대상은 부모 160쌍과 그들의 자녀 160명이었으며, 연구도구는 교사가 평정하는 상호작용적 또래놀이 척도와 설문지를 통한 부모의 자기보고 형식으로 이루어진 언어통제유형 측정도구가 사용되었다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다; 1) 유아의 상호작용적 또래놀이 양상에서 놀이 상호작용이 가장 많이 나타나는 것으로 보고되었고, 성별에 따른 차이는 놀이 상호작용과 놀이 방해에서만 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 2) 어머니와 아버지 모두 지위적 통제를 가장 많이사용하고 명령적 통제를 가장 적게 사용하는 것으로 보고되었으며, 부모간 평균 비교결과 어머니가 아버지에 비해 인성적 통제를 더 많이 사용하는 것으로 유의미한 차이가 나타났고, 성별에 따른 차이는 유의미하게 나타나지 않았다. 3) 어머니가 명령적 언어통제유형을 사용하는 것과 남아의 놀이 상호작용, 어머니가 지위적 언어통제유형을 사용하는 것과 여아의 놀이 상호작용에서 유의미한 부적 상관관계가 나타났다. 그러나 아버지가 사용하는 언어통제유형과 자녀의 상호작용적 또래놀이간에는 유의미한 상관관계가 나타나지 않았다. 본 연구를 통해 전체적인 놀이상황에서의 유아들의 행동과 부모의 언어통제유형간 관계를 살펴볼 수 있었고, 특히 유아와 함께 시간을 많이 보내는 성인의 영향력의 중요성을 다시 한 번 확인할 수 있었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to explore the relationships between the interactive peer play of male and female children, and parents’ verbal control style. 160 children and their parents were selected as subjects in this study. The verbal control style was confirmed by analyzing the parents' questionnaires developed by Do (1997). The interactive peer play was measured by using Penn Interactive Peer Play Scale. The obtained results can be summarized as follows: 1) Play interaction was most frequently shown among the interactive peer play, and the play interaction and the play disruption were found to be significantly gender dependent; 2) Mothers and fathers have mostly used position-oriented verbal control and have used imperative verbal control least. Comparison of verbal control style of mothers and fathers showed a significant difference in
person-oriented verbal control, but did not show any significant gender difference; and 3) Negatively significant correlation was found between mothers’ imperative verbal control and male children's play interaction. Similar results were found between mothers’ position-oriented verbal control and female children's play interaction. But no significant correlation was found between fathers’ verbal control and children's interactive peer play.
