대학생의 인정욕구, 사회적 지지, 사회불안이 삶의 만족에 미치는 영향 = The Influence of Need for Approval, Social Support and Social Anxiety on Life Satisfaction among College Students

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The study examined the effects of need for approval, social support and social anxiety on life satisfaction. A total of 234 college students (men=81, women=153) participated in the survey packet including measures of need for approval, social support, social anxiety and lifes satisfaction. SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 18.0 was used for analysis. The results of this study were as follows. First, we found that need for approval was positively correlated with social anxiety, and social support was negatively correlated with social anxiety and positively correlated with life satisfaction. Social anxiety was negatively correlated with life satisfaction. Second, the fit of measurement model was good. Third, the result also indicated that the influence of need for approval and social support on life satisfaction was fully mediated by social anxiety. It suggest that need for approval and social support influence social anxiety, which leads to life satisfaction. The implications of this research were discussed along with some limitations and suggestions for future study.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 대학생의 인정욕구와 사회적 지지가 삶의 만족에 영향을 미치는 데에 있어서 사회불안의 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 서울지역에 위치한 대학생 234명(남 81명, 여 153명)을 대상으로 인정욕구, 사회적 지지, 사회불안, 그리고 삶의 만족을 측정하는 설문에 응답하도록 하였다. 수집한 자료를 토대로 SPSS 18.0과 AMOS 18.0로 자료를 분석하였다. 기술통계 및 상관분석을 실시하였고, 구조방정식 모형(SEM)으로 매개모형을 검증하였다. 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 인정욕구는 사회불안과 정적상관을 보였고, 사회적 지지는 사회불안과 부적상관을, 삶의 만족과 정적상관을 보였다. 사회불안과 삶의 만족은 부적상관을 보였다. 둘째, 인정욕구와 사회적 지지가 사회불안을 거쳐 삶의 만족으로 가는 경로가 유의한 수준으로 나타났다. 모형은 완전매개모형이 적합한 것으로 밝혀졌다. 이는 인정욕구, 사회적 지지가 삶의 만족으로 가는 경로에 있어서, 사회불안을 매개로 하여 간접적으로 삶의 만족에 영향을 미침을 의미한다. 이상의 결과를 토대로 연구의 의의, 시사점과 제한점에 대해 논의하였다.
