종로탑골공원과 종묘공원이용 남성노인의 여가문화의 의미 분석

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The aim of the current study is to elucidate the meaning structure which lies in the hidden side of the elderly people`s group leisure and culture by understanding the lives of the senior citizens focused on the elderly males using Jongro Pagoda Park and Jongmyo Park and observing their ordinary leisure activities. The research methods employed in the current study are a method of studying their life histories to investigate the whole life of the elderly males and a method of ethnography to elucidate and analyze a variety of phenomena related to the elderly people`s leisure and culture in parks. The research periods are from the early August 2010 to the late November 2010 and 6 informants were selected through in-depth interviews. As a result of analyzing the elderly males` lives with the method of an life story analysis, it was found that the backgrounds of using parks include ``the fault of the times: war and poverty``, ``the influence of industrialization: labor for making a living...and the absence of leisure experience``, ``the advent of nuclear family: family without me``, and being left: I left alone in an island``. In addition, in the elderly males` lives for the first components of leisure meaning and desires, those such as ``an remedy for solitude and depression: making friends``, ``the precious beings like my hope and treasure: relationships with grandsons and granddaughters` etc were drawn. Finally, as a result of examining the meaning of parks through leisure and culture of the elderly males` using parks through ethnography, the study found that the park is ``space for satisfying desires``, ``space of order and rules``, ``space of sharing``, and ``secret space to family.`` Based on analysis results, we proposed the need to develop leisure programs for the elderly people between generation communities with a theme of communication with society, and to make policy which can satisfy their desires etc.
