학교요인과 학교폭력피해경험이 중학생의 등교공포와 교내폭력 심각성 인식에 미치는 영향연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 학교요인과 학교폭력피해 경험은 어떤 경로를 통해 어떻게 ‘등교공포’와 ‘교내폭력의 심각성 인식’에 영향을 미치는지를 살펴보기 위해 구조방정식 모형을 이용하여 분석하였다. 이 연구의 조사대상자들은 울산광역시 소재 중학교 2학년 재학생 727명이다. 연구결과 학생들의 ‘등교공포’와 ‘학생들의 교내 폭력문제 심각성 인식’은 각기 다른 요인들에 의해 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 학생들의 등교공포는 또래에 의한 폭력피해 경험에 의해 가장 강하게 직접적으로 영향을 받고, 학교에서 관찰한 위험행동은 또래에 의한 폭력피해를 거쳐 등교공포에 간접적으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 교내폭력문제의 심각성에 대한 인식은 교내에서 관찰한 또래집단의 위험한 행동과 교사에 의한 폭력피해경험에 의해 직접적인 영향을 받고, 긍정적인 학교환경에 의해서는 간접적인 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 이론적ㆍ실천적 함의와 함께 필요한 후속연구를 제안하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of the article is to create an exploratory model to investigate how variables in school setting affect school victimization and the consequences of victimization for junior high school students. The dependent variables are fear of attending school and the student’s assessment of the severity of school violence.
The study sample consisted of junior high school students in the 8th grade from Ulsan city. Student’s fear of attending school due to violence was directly related to experiences of personal victimization by students. In contrast with the fear factor, student’s judgments of their school’s overall violence problem were directly associated with the variables of observed risk behaviors and personal victimization by students and teachers. According to these findings, a number of implications for social work practice were elucidated. The limitations of the study, and recommendations for future research are also suggested.
