해부실험 전에 실시한 생명윤리교육이 예비과학교사들의 생명에 대한 인식에 주는 효과

본 연구에서는 53명의 예비과학교사를 대상으로 해부실험과 생명윤리교육의 경험을 질문지를 통해 파악하였다. 또한 6명의 예비과학교사를 대상으로 심층면담을 통해 해부실험 전에 실시한 생명윤리교육이 예비교사들의 생명에 대한 인식에 어떤 변화를 주는지 알아보았다. 본 연구의 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 전체 53명의 예비과학교사들 중 과거에 해부실험을 수행한 경험이 있는 예비과학교사는 75.5%였다. 그러나 그 중 생명윤리교육을 받았던 예비교사는 17.5%에 불과했다. 실제 중등 교육현장에서 직접 학생들을 가르치게 될 예비과학교사들이 생명윤리에 대해 진지하게 생각해 볼 기회를 제공받지 못했음은 매우 심각한 문제라고 생각된다. 둘째, 예비과학교사들은 해부실험 전에 실시한 생명윤리교육으로 동물실험에 대한 현 실태에 대해 알게 되었고 이로 인해 동물실험에 대한 관심이 증진되었다. 그리고 더 나아가 실험동물 이외의 생명에 대한 관심이 확장되어 생명존중의식이 고양되었다. 셋째, 예비과학교사들은 해부실험 전에 실시한 생명윤리교육으로 실험동물의 생명에 대한 책임의식이 생겼으며, 그로 인해 해부실험에 대한 학습의욕이 고양되는 등의 행동의 변화를 보였다. 넷째, 예비과학교사들은 해부실험 전에 실시한 생명윤리교육을 통해 앞으로 가르칠 학생들에게 지식적인 면 뿐만 아니라 생명존중교육을 시켜야 한다는 해부실험에 대한 교육적인 견해를 갖게 되었다. This study represents how the anatomy lab session influences the perspective of life on prospective science teachers. This is a case study that conducted on 6 prospective science teachers through in-depth interviews. Followings are the conclusion of this study; First, from the total of 53 prospective science teachers, 75.5% of them had the past anatomy lab class experience in middle school. Among them only 17.5% had life-ethics education experience. Since the life-ethic education is the very basic of humanistic education, this result suggests that lack of life-ethic education of prospective science teachers is concerning matter in educational professional perspective. Second, through this study, prospective science teachers learned about the current animal experiment issues. As conducting this study, prospective science teachers became aware of the importance of caring animals and other living-forms, and had chance to self-reflect on themselves about caring life. Third, prospective science teachers learned about the importance of life and felt sympathy to animals in anatomy lab session through this study. In addition, teachers felt responsibility for the experimental animals used in anatomy lab and show behavioral change by actively participating this study and anatomy lab session. Also, teachers show their respect for animals and other living-forms as well. Forth, prospective science teachers are planning to apply their life-ethic learning experience from this study to their future students. prospective science teachers will exercise their learning gained from this study in their anatomy lab session and teach their student not only the anatomical knowledge of animals, but also respects and care for animals and other living forms.
