      • Organizational Effectiveness of Korean Information and Communication Industry Employees: Focus on Organization Culture, Job Satisfaction, Organizational Commitment and Turnover Intention

        Purpose– The purpose of this study is to give implications on how to decrease employee turnover intention of Korean information and communication industry employees using organization culture, job satisfaction and organizational commitment. To do that this study analyzes relationships among variables and analyses mediating effect of job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Research design, data, and methodology– To analyze relationships among organization culture, job satisfaction, organizational commitment and turnover intention of employees, this study used the 7th KRIVET s HCCP employee data especially employees working in the information and communication industry who has more than university degree education. The analysis is conducted by using SPSS 21 and frequency analysis correlation analysis, regression analysis and mediating effect are analyzed by using MACRO PROCESS procedure for SPSS. Result– According to the empirical results, organization culture of innovation, relation and rational directed significantly affect both job satisfaction and organizational commitment. And job satisfaction and organizational commitment significantly affect each other. Turnover intention is significantly affected by job satisfaction, organizational commitment, innovation directed and hierarchy directed. However, the influence of innovation and hierarchy showed conflicting results. Conclusion– Based on this study result, implications to manage the turnover intention of Korean employees in the information and communication industry are discussed. Especially, the effect of organization culture, job satisfaction and organizational commitment is discussed. And the mediating role of job satisfaction and organizational commitment is also analyzed. Result implicates that cautious approach is needed in managing organization culture to employee attitude of job and organization is needed

      • Intellectual Capital and Innovation Capability: A Strategy for Achieving Competitive Advantage

        Purpose - The ability to meet the high demand for education in Nigeria is lacking, making the region remain backwards in education. Given this reason, the study investigates the role of innovation capability in the relationship between intellectual capital and competitive advantage in tertiary institutions in Nigeria. Research design, data, and methodology - The study is cross-sectional research, a total of 427 questionnaires were administered to respondents. The study distributed its questionnaire across 12 faculties at the University of Ibadan using a random sampling technique. Data were analyzed using ADANCO 2.1.1. Result - The study reveals that human capital, structural capital, relational capital, and innovation capability positively affect competitive advantage. Innovation capability mediates the relationship between human capital and relational capital. However, structural capital was not mediated by innovation capability. Conclusion - The study concludes that intellectual capitals and innovation capability are crucial to maintaining a competitive advantage over their peers. Achieving more significant success in the variables mentioned earlier will help Nigeria's tertiary institutions compete locally and internationally.

      • Impact of Teamwork on Employee Engagement in Primary and Secondary schools: The Nigerian Experience

        Purpose - The purpose of this study is to investigate the role of Teamwork on Engagement among employees of private primary and secondary schools in Plateau State, Nigeria using the dimensions of Teamwork, which are Communication, Leadership, Team Structure, Situation Monitoring, and Mutual Support on Employee Engagement. Research design, data, and methodology - To analyze the relationship among the variables, the study adopted the descriptive and explanatory research design, and a cross-sectional survey method using a survey questionnaire containing 29 items, with a 5-point Likert scale. The samples of 274 employees (both academic and non-academic) were selected using a simple random probability sampling technique. Multiple Regression was used to analyze data with the aid of the statistical package for social sciences (SPSS version 23.0). Result - This shows that Communication, Leadership, and Situation Monitoring have a positive and significant relationship on Employee Engagement, while Team Structure and Mutual Support show a negative direction but still maintained a significant relationship. Conclusion - The management of private primary and secondary schools should pay attention to Communication, Leadership, Team Structure, Situation Monitoring, and Mutual Support among their employees to promote Employee Engagement in the workplace. It also recommends that future studies should be carried out in other sectors.

      • Offline Shopping During the COVID-19 Pandemic: Between Need and Fear

        Purpose - The purposes of this research are: (1) Building and testing a research model that integrates Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA) with fear, perceived risk, and health protocols; (2) Examining the impact of compliance with health protocols on consumer behavior when offline shopping. Research design, data, and methodology - The data collection uses the self-administered survey method, and the questionnaire is distributed online. A total of 504 Indonesian population aged 18 years old or more participate in this research. Data are analyzed using factor analysis, multiple regression, and multiple regression with interaction. Result - This study reveals several findings: (1) Attitude and subjective norm have a significant effect on offline shopping behavior; (2) fear has a direct and indirect effect on offline shopping behavior; (3) the effect of perceived risk on the intensity of offline shopping is determined by compliance with health protocols. Conclusion - This paper discusses the direct influence of attitudes and subjective norms on behavior. This research also integrates fear, perceived risk, and health protocol factors in TRA, which may not have been done much, especially in the COVID-19 pandemic context.

      • Investment Climate Analysis of China and South Korea: Based on Grading Method

        Purpose - This study analyzes the investment environment of South Korea by using the rating scale of Robert B Stobaugh, Jr, and draws conclusion implication. Research design, data, and methodology - The study conducted a survey on according to the political stability, capital repatriation, foreign ownership allowed, discrimination and controls, foreign vs domestic businesses, currency stability, willingness to grant tariff protection, availability of local capital, and annual inflation for last 5 years. The score of these eight aspects will be given based on the current situation in South Korea and the sum of the scores will be calculated. Result - China-Korea economic and trade relations are in a stage of transformation and upgrading, and the level of economic and trade cooperation in various fields is reaching a new level. It is hoped that Chinese enterprises will grasp business opportunities, strengthen research and analysis of the Korea market and achieve mutually beneficial cooperation. Conclusion - The investment environment of South Korea is superior according to the political stability, capital repatriation, foreign ownership allowed, discrimination and controls, foreign vs domestic businesses, currency stability, willingness to grant tariff protection, availability of local capital, and annual inflation for last 5 years.

      • A Study on the Development of Adaptive Learning System through EEG-based Learning Achievement Prediction

        Purpose – By designing a PEF(Personalized Education Feedback) system for real-time prediction of learning achievement and motivation through real-time EEG analysis of learners, this system provides some modules of a personalized adaptive learning system. By applying these modules to e-learning and offline learning, they motivate learners and improve the quality of learning progress and effective learning outcomes can be achieved for immersive self-directed learning Research design, data, and methodology – EEG data were collected simultaneously as the English test was given to the experimenters, and the correlation between the correct answer result and the EEG data was learned with a machine learning algorithm and the predictive model was evaluated.. Result – In model performance evaluation, both artificial neural networks(ANNs) and support vector machines(SVMs) showed high accuracy of more than 91%. Conclusion – This research provides some modules of personalized adaptive learning systems that can more efficiently complete by designing a PEF system for real-time learning achievement prediction and learning motivation through an adaptive learning system based on real-time EEG analysis of learners. The implication of this initial research is to verify hypothetical situations for the development of an adaptive learning system through EEG analysis-based learning achievement prediction.

      • Analysis of the Current Status of Edutech in Korean Language Education

        Purpose - Recently, in the field of language education, interest in edutech has increased due to difficulties in classroom teaching due to COVID-19. Accordingly, we would like to analyze research topics related to e-learning before and after COVID-19 and examine the implications for the future Korean language education field. Research design, data, and methodology - This study organized a list of papers to be analyzed by searching for e-learning terms applicable to Korean language education in RISS. The collected data was electronically documented, keywords were extracted using text mining techniques, and word frequencies were checked, and then viewed through cloud visualization. Result - It was confirmed that research on e-learning in the field of Korean language education has increased rapidly in 2021 and 2022. In particular, extensive research on online learning methods has been actively conducted due to the difficulties of face-to-face learning in the COVID-19 era. There have been many studies on teaching and learning methods, such as flipped learning, hybrid learning, blended learning, mobile learning, and smart learning. Conclusion - Since the research so far has mainly focused on online class management methods. Therefore, future research suggests that efforts should be made to develop educational contents and teaching methods using specific ICT technologies. These efforts will contribute to advancing smart education that future education aims for.

      • Prior Literature Investigation of the Human Resource Management (HRM) in the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR)

        Purpose - In this study, the current author explores how Human Resource Management (HRM) is changing in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR). Understanding the distinctive features of HRM in this day is crucial, given how rapidly industries are changing due to technology. Research design, data, and methodology - This study adopts a thorough literature review methodology to pinpoint and clarify these distinctive characteristics, advancing our understanding of the role of HRM in the modern world. Regarding methodology, this study uses the PRISMA approach to systematically gather pertinent publications from various sources that have undergone peer review. Result - By carefully choosing and examining these studies, the present author was able to identify four crucial HRM traits that are representative of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The findings emphasizes how common flexible work schedules are. Using data analytics to influence HRM decisions is increasingly important for maximizing hiring, reviewing performance, and fostering organizational growth. Conclusion - By recalibrating their HRM practices in the 4IR, businesses may encourage flexibility, innovation, and employee well-being. This work makes a substantial contribution to both HRM theory and practice and our comprehension of the transformative effects of the 4IR by filling a gap in the existing literature.

      • Field Education Model for Assistant Nurses using Edutech: Flipped Class

        Purpose - This study is to suggest a model of field education in the Assistant Nurses curriculum using edutech and to produce competent Assistant Nurses students reflecting the requirements of various medical fields. This model expects to upgrade the quality of the field education and to provide an Assistant Nurses school with standardized field education tools using edutech. Research design, data, and methodology - Throughout the review of the related thesis, most of them were studied on Assistant Nurses’ job satisfaction, conflicts with other jobs in hospitals, and Assistant Nurses’ job area in nursing hospitals. To study the current field education for Assistant Nurses students in hospitals, it used interviewing the heads of the hospital nursing department and reflecting on their interview results to develop the model of field education. Result - The field education model with edutech is processed with flipped class. Each area in flipped class is designed by applications and webs which is friendly to both teachers and students. Conclusion - This study presents a simple and easy process of field education using edutech. In the next study, it needs to find the precious results of comparison between students educated by the new model in field education in the Assistant Nurses’ curriculum or not.

      • A Study on the Development of Korean Curriculum for Multicultural Students Using AI Technology

        Purpose – This study focused on the development of a Korean language curriculum to solve the problem of Korean literacy among students from multicultural families. Research design, data, and methodology – A case study was conducted on Sim(2018)'s learner-centered learning model to develop an educational plan including AI technology, which will help students from multicultural families to effectively improve their communication and learning skills by improving their reading, writing, and speaking of Korean. Result – Total of six educational plans using AI technology (Microsoft PowerPoint's drawing function, AutoDraw, and Google's Four-cut cartoons) were developed. Conclusion – The curriculum using AI is expected to greatly contribute to the recovery of language learning ability and confidence in studies necessary to improve learners' language education.
