        Molecular and cytological analyses of A and C genomes at meiosis in synthetic allotriploid Brassica hybrids (ACC) between B.napus (AACC) and B.oleracea (CC)

        Success of interspecific hybridization relies mostly on the adequate similarity between the implicated genomes to ensure synapsis, pairing and recombination between appropriate chromosomes during meiosis in allopolyploid species. Allotetraploid Brassica napus (AACC) is a model of natural hybridization between Brassica rapa (AA) and Brassica oleracea (CC), which are originally derived from a common ancestor, but genomic constitution of the same chromosomes probably varied among these species through time after establishment, giving rise to cytogenetic difference in the synthetic hybrids. Herein we investigated meiotic behaviors of A and C chromosomes of synthetic allotriploid Brassica hybrids (ACC) at molecular and cytological levels, which result from the interspecific cross between natural B. napus (AACC) and B.oleracea (CC), and the results showed that meiosis course was significantly aberrant in allotriploid Brassica hybrids, and chromosomes aligned chaotically at metaphase I, chromosome bridges and lags were frequently observed from later metaphase I to anaphase II during meiosis. Simultaneously, we also noticed that meiosis-related genes were abruptly down-regulated in allotriploid Brassica hybrids, which likely accounted for irregular scenario of meiosis observed in these synthetic hybrids. Therefore, these results indicated that inter-genomic exchanges of A and C chromosomes could occur frequently in synthetic Brassica hybrids, and provided an efficient approach for genetic changes of homeologous chromosomes during meiosis in polyploid B.napus breeding program.

        현대 “新 다큐멘터리 사진” 탐색의 길 : 양옌캉(楊延康)의 사진집 심상(心象) 에 대한 종교적 감정 표현

        현대 다큐멘터리 사진의 한 트렌드는 사진작가의 독립적인 감정과 세계관을 표현하는 것이며, 이는 사진작가들에게새로운 과제와 더 높은 추구를 초래하였다. 본 논문은 중국 다큐멘터리 사진작가 양옌캉을 연구한다. 그의 작품 심상(心象) 시리즈를 사례로 촬영할 때 사진작가의 감정 상태를 분석하고, 그가 어떤 방식으로 사진을 통해 종교 사상을전달하는지 탐구하며, 이를 통해 사진작가의 창작에 참고할 수 있는 가치를 제공하고자 한다. 본 연구는 기호학 분석방법을 사용하여 언어 정보 기호, 코드 정보 기호와 은유 기호 등 3가지 기호학 구조 측면에서 출발하여 사진작가가 사진을 통해 독자에게 전달하는 다양한 차원의 메시지 기호를 분석하고, 메시지와 독자의 감정 연결 방식을 고찰한다. 또한 본 연구는 전형적이고 대표적인 사진을 선정하여 양옌캉의 사진에서 티베트 불교와 관련 메시지 기호의 구축 과정, 작품 내용과 종교 사상의 표현 방식을 분석하고, 사진의 메시지 정보 요소에서 사진의 심층적 의미를 탐색하며, 이를 통해 미래 다큐멘터리 사진에 대한 더 많은 가능성을 고찰하고자 한다. As we all know, another trend in contemporary documentary photography is to express the photographer’s self-independent emotion and worldview, which brings new topics and higher pursuits to photographers. In this paper, by studying the Chinese documentary photographer Yang Yankang, taking his series of works “Mind Image” as an example, this article analyzes the photographer’s emotional state during shooting, and explores the ways in which he expresses religious thoughts in his photos, in order to make a difference to the photographer’s creation. This article adopts semiotic analysis methods, starting from the three semiotic structural levels of “linguistic message signs”, “coded message signs”, and “metaphoric signs”, deconstructing photographers conveying different levels of information signs to readers through photos, interpreting messages and readers the way to create an emotional connection. The article selects typical photos, specifically analyzes the construction process of Tibetan Buddhism-related information symbols in Yang Yankang’s photos, analyzes the content of the work and the expression of religious thoughts, finds the deep meaning of the photos from the information elements of the photos, and thinks based on this Documentary photography has more possibilities in the future.

        Probiotics-loaded microcapsules from gas-assisted microfluidics for inflammatory bowel disease treatment

        Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a kind of chronic inflammatory disease that is difficult to cure completely and may cause cancer. Modulating the intestinal flora is believed to be a feasible approach for IBD treatment. However, the traditional probiotics delivery systems often suffer from the inactivation caused by gastric acid. Herein, we proposed a novel probiotics-loaded microcapsule generated from a gas-assisted microfluidic platform. The microcapsules were composed of alginate shells and probiotics-containing cores, and exhibited good sphericity and biocompatibility, and had an average size of about 325 μm and a coefficient of variation of 2.57%. When the probiotics-loaded microcapsules were used for the IBD treatment of mice, they displayed good therapeutic effects in modulating oxidative stress and inflammation as well as protecting the intestinal barrier. These features indicate that the prepared probiotics-loaded microcapsules could be used as new materials for IBD treatment.

        Interval finite element method based on the element for eigenvalue analysis of structures with interval parameters

        A new method for solving the uncertain eigenvalue problems of the structures with interval parameters, interval finite element method based on the element, is presented in this paper. The calculations are done on the element basis, hence, the efforts are greatly reduced. In order to illustrate the accuracy of the method, a continuous beam system is given, the results obtained by it are compared with those obtained by Chen and Qiu (1994); in order to demonstrate that the proposed method provides safe bounds for the eigenfrequencies, an undamping spring-mass system, in which the exact interval bounds are known, is given, the results obtained by it are compared with those obtained by Qiu et al. (1999), where the exact interval bounds are given. The numerical results show that the proposed method is effective for estimating the eigenvalue bounds of structures with interval parameters.

        Evaluating the Safety and Control Scheme of Coastal Railway Using Land Subsidence Coupling Model

        Uneven settlement caused by excessive exploitation of groundwater will seriously affect the smooth operation of high-speed railways. This study takes the Jinwei high-speed railway as an example to explore the development characteristics and distribution of groundwater and land subsidence along the railway under the influence of groundwater exploitation. Based on the comprehensive analysis of hydrogeological conditions and soil characteristics, a three-dimensional coupling model of groundwater seepage and land subsidence was established. The groundwater flow field and land subsidence along the railway under different mining schemes were quantified, and the prevention and control scheme to ensure the smooth operation of the high-speed railway was determined. The results show that the coupling model verified by groundwater and subsidence monitoring data can better simulate the development process of land subsidence. The subsidence center along the railway line is located between DK315 ~ DK327, with a predicted maximum subsidence rate of 16.36 mm/a. The second most serious area is located between DK295 ~ DK309, with a maximum subsidence rate of 12.21 mm/a. The maximum ban on mining along the railway is extended to 350 m at the section DK295 ~ DK309, and to 450 m at the section DK315 ~ DK325, which can minimize the impact of land subsidence on the high-speed railway.

        Skew n-derivations on semiprime rings

        For a ring R with an automorphism σ, an n-additive mapping Δ: R × R × · · · × R ! R is called a skew n-derivation with respect to σ if it is always a σ-derivation of R for each argument. Namely, if n − 1 of the arguments are fixed, then Δ is a σ-derivation on the remaining argument. In this short note, from Breˇsar Theorems, we prove that a skew n-derivation (n ≥ 3) on a semiprime ring R must map into the center of R.

        One-round Secure Key Exchange Protocol With Strong Forward Secrecy

        Security models for key exchange protocols have been researched for years, however, lots of them only focus on what secret can be compromised but they do not differentiate the timing of secrets compromise, such as the extended Canetti-Krawczyk (eCK) model. In this paper, we propose a new security model for key exchange protocols which can not only consider what keys can be compromised as well as when they are compromised. The proposed security model is important to the security proof of the key exchange protocols with forward secrecy (either weak forward secrecy (wFS) or strong forward secrecy (sFS)). In addition, a new kind of key compromise impersonation (KCI) attacks which is called strong key compromise impersonation (sKCI) attack is proposed. Finally, we provide a new one-round key exchange protocol called mOT+ based on mOT protocol. The security of the mOT+ is given in the new model. It can provide the properties of sKCI-resilience and sFS and it is secure even if the ephemeral key reveal query is considered.

        Experimental Study on Hydraulic Erosion Characteristics of Ecological Slope of Tailings Reservoir under Rainfall

        Rainfall infiltration is the main factor of hydraulic erosion and deformation instability of tailings reservoir slope. Through the hydraulic erosion test of tailings reservoir slope based on rainfall, the parameters of slope internal moisture content, runoff sediment concentration, runoff, start time of surface erosion and gully erosion and slope velocity were tested. The slope protection effect of ecological base material of tailings reservoir slope determined in the previous study was evaluated. The results show that the vegetation allocation model combined with grass, shrub and flower is effective in hydraulic erosion protection of tailings reservoir slope. The critical slope range of ecological slope model of tailings reservoir is 37.5° − 42.3° under three kinds of rain intensity. The research results can provide certain theoretical and technical support for the safe operation of tailings reservoir and the development of ecological slope protection theory of tailings reservoir.

        Dynamic expression of early responsible genes to acute left-ventricular ischemia in a time-dependent pattern

        Acute myocardial infarction remains one of the leading causes of death and disability worldwide. Themechanisms underlying myocardial infarction involve a complex of signaling molecules, such as tumornecrosis factor α (TNFα), interleukin-6 (IL6), C-Myc, atria natriuretic peptide (ANP), superoxide dismutase1 (SOD1), and so on. The aim of this study is to understand the time-dependent expressional pattern of theseearly responsible genes following acute myocardial ischemia established by left anterior descending (LAD)coronary artery ligation. After LAD ligation, a collection of genes was detected using real-time polymerasechain reaction (PCR). The expression of inflammation-related genes, such as TNFα and IL6, was immediatelyupregulated at 2 h, reached to the highest point at 12 h, and then decreased to nearly basis level at 24 h afterligation, suggesting inflammation appeared and disappeared rapidly after acute ischemia. C-Myc, an importanttranscription factor, was significantly upregulated at 2 h, and thereafter persisted at high level to 24 h. Thesecretary peptide, ANP, was consistently upregulated from 2 to 24 h, reached to 40-folds at 24 h. The calciumregulatedgene, FK506-binding protein 12.6, was not significantly altered after ischemia. SOD1 was not alteredat the first 4 h, and began to downregulate at 12 and 24 h. These results indicate that several genes weredynamically and transiently regulated after acute myocardial infarction (AMI) in a time-dependent pattern,suggesting that there is an immediate molecular response to acute myocardial ischemia, which might provideus a new insight to understand molecular mechanisms of AMI.
